shen Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 Let's hope he's not Nielsen in disguise, there aren't any casino's in Leicester are there? Well they do have that in common that they were captains of their respective teams and that the had spent their entire career with one club prior to joining (overlooking the short unsuccesful stint at Millwall which produced no first team apps). Obviously not to mention the similarity of their names...
Joe. Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 The end of Gilbert then - is he not coming back now? Not necessarily, one recognised right-back isn't really enough I'd like to think. We still need somebody who can actually make it past the halfway line really...
Carlos9 Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 You're either joking. Or you're a twat. Its true, if FM says hes got a 20 throw he must have a massive throw! People work hard behind the scenes in FM to get the players realistic. Basiclly, his throw wont be not good, it says its a 20 it obviouslly is going to be a long throw.
Father Ted Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 Hmmm... I've got a friend who is as Scottish as a person can get and is a big follower of the SPL and says that this lad isn't anything special and doesn't think much to the signing. Perhaps some grit and determination could be what we need for next year but he sounds very poor ability wise.
Fox92 Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 Not necessarily, one recognised right-back isn't really enough I'd like to think. We still need somebody who can actually make it past the halfway line really... Yeh, thats what I thought. He may also sign Gilbert for back up or sommet.
maddog Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 I hope he turns out to be the new Tunchev. It doesn't feel like a playoff push signing though. Maybe NP has some gems lined up though.
Cobbo Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 What a coup this could be Skipper of Scotlands 3rd biggest team (makes them as big as Darlington, y'know) and we pinched him! Good lad. No Kerrea then?
NorthernFox Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 I like this signing and think that Robbie Neilson will be a good addition to a potentially play-off squad.
iancognito Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 Let's hope he's more Grayson than Maybury. Grayson was an average player with average skills but he was a solid RB who put a few bigger names to shame in terms of consistency. I - as everyone should - will reserve judgement til he's played and settled in a bit.
haraven Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 Tenacious, not afraid to dive into a battle, long blondish hair, first name Robbie ... reminds us of whom?
Scow Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 I must admit I'm not encouraged by what I've read, but like others, I'll reserve judgment. He could be just a squad player for all we know.
Koke Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 We said the same shit about Gareth McAuley when we sold him to Ipswich, but after a bad start he raised his game and ended up being captain. Robbie's hair alone is worth a 3 year contract.
Tommeh Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 Let's hope he's not Nielsen in disguise, there aren't any casino's in Leicester are there? He Gambles all day He gambles all Niiiiiiiiiiggghhhtt. Casino Jimmy Makes Gala look shite. I sung this very loudly last week and intend to do so this coming one too. Ohhh Jimmy come back
Ford Super Sunday Posted 23 May 2009 Posted 23 May 2009 One thing I will say... Everyone assumes Robbie is gonna come in and play EXACTLY the same way as he did for Hearts. I am sure Nigel is not going to do that. He will get him playing his own way... I am also sure that anything maybe lacking in his game will be coached into him. Pearson and Walsh have such a wide scouting frame, this will not have been an impulse purchase. Robbie is 28, in the prime of his career, we may just see the best of him. I am positive and I believe that he will come good for us. Hearts will be in the past, players don't always mirror exactly how they were at their old clubs. In Nigel I Trust (Seriously, for the first time since Adams (before he started signing OAPs) I actually truat and look forward to every signing Pearson makes
StanSP Posted 23 May 2009 Posted 23 May 2009 What a coup this could be Skipper of Scotlands 3rd biggest team (makes them as big as Darlington, y'know) and we pinched him! Good lad. No Kerrea then? Who knows? We would still need a natural right-back to cover or used as rotation. NP could get him on loan again..

Jimmy Posted 23 May 2009 Posted 23 May 2009 DaMarcus Beasley would knock his **** head off. he'd probably break his own arm doing it too
MarkDeVries Posted 23 May 2009 Posted 23 May 2009 Lets just hope he is better than the other donkeys we signed from from hearts in the past ie mark deep freeze and maybury!!!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 May 2009 Posted 23 May 2009 DaMarcus Beasley would knock his **** head off. I got Beasely's autograph during his PSV days.
