It's actually a big thing in the pub trade. It might sound annoying to customers, but it's called 'passing off' and can land you a 10k fine.

 

This is why a decent pub will never give you a beer in a different branded glass too. Same thing and you get the same fine for it.

 

If someone asks for a Carlsberg in a Stella glass, you should say no.
