Leic 2-2 Leeds

Think people are taking it a bit far saying this was a decent comeback. Granted we got the goals back, but we created practically nothing for the entire game. Definatly a lot more work to do if were gonna get in the playoffs.

I think Weale should go back in goal next game, Kirkland dosnt look anywhere near comfortable enough.

It's a point at the end of the day, but we should be playing better than this with the squad we have.

Ref was absalutly diabolical, how Schmeichel didnt get sent off for that tackle on Vassell i'll never know.

The fact that people are saying we were so poor makes the come back even more welcome. We've snatched a point which perhaps we didn't deserve. Might be very important come the seasons end.

Also don't buy into the concerns about attracting players due to being 16th rather than 7th. Ultimately, there are so few points between us, all it will take is a little word from Sven. I very much doubt our league position will unduly affect our acquisitions.

"created practically nothing for the entire game". Yes, the stats credited us with 2 shots on goal (and not many off-target either). If that's correct, then at least it's something that we scored with both of them. Nevertheless, it shows very little drive if we couldn't manage more shots on goal over the whole 90 mins. Very disappointing.

Also, yet again we've allowed ourselves to be bullied, and appear to have evolved no gameplan to counter this.

Fair result neither team were anything special. Schmichael (spelling :dunno: ?) should have been sent off and although I was a long way away it looked a certain penalty on Bednar.

Gallagher took some stick but I didn't think he was any worse than anyone else. Hobbs was terrific.

I never thought we'd get a draw out of this with 70 minutes played.

I don't know why it is we need a kick up the arse before we start getting things started.

The first two thirds of the game today were atrocious. There was no coherence, no willingness to attack, the hoof balls went nowhere.

Hardly anyone could be arsed to move it.

Paul Gallagher once again took the biscuit - what a lack of effort, what a waste of space. He had ONE good scene and that was the pass that led up to the penalty.

Naughton slipped numerous times in the first half and I said to my mates before the game that Gradel was bound to score against us.

It wasn't the fact that Leeds were better than us, it was a poor Leicester side that was the source of all frustration.

But there were spells in the opening to the second half when United passed the ball around without any of our guys daring to attack and getting it back.

That was diabolical.

Just like last weekend, the majority of our players never looked like they could be bothered.

Is it the cold weather? Are they all just a bunch of sissies? This laziness is killing me.

A surprise result saves the day. Or let's say a spare moment of genius from our best goalscorer.

I hope we won't see such a performance like the one I witnessed for large chunks of today's game again for a long time to come.

Bednar should've gotten a penalty and the referee blew hot and cold.

Schmeichal should have been sent off but I think that the referee bottled it because he should have given Leeds a free-kick in the build up. Bednar should have had a penalty at the end as well.

As for Leeds, they really are dirty dirty Leeds. They executed every single dirty trick in the book today. Diving, surrounding the referee, kicking the ball away, you name it.

We were shit, they were shit.

But Andy King - take a bow, son.

What a hit that was.

About sums it up you can add the ref/assistant as being shit as well.

schmichal (sp) should have walked for the penalty - complete tosser walking away with the ball as well. Definate penalty not given for the foul on bednar but a quality strike by king.

all in all quite shit.

Spot on. Leeds were slightly organised and we lacked bottle, bordering on laziness at certain times.

What other Championship club can boast close to 31'000 people at a cold Boxing Day match?

Spectacular. appl.gifIf only we could've made more noise - but understandably, like many others, I just didn't feel like it with the dross served on the pitch today.

Oh, and the family of five leaving the match after 55 minutes... Have it! You just missed two goals, fools!

We were comfortably in control in the first 20 minutes, Leeds scored with their first chance taking advantage of a couple of slips for Max Gradel to score with a header!!!. It was nice that Max didn't celebrate the goal, I'm not sure why a few people booed his name at the start of the game.

After the goal our heads dropped and the rest of the half was a bit scrappy, we had a few nice passages of play that always seemed to break down with a ridiculously overambitious pass or a lack of communication/concentration at the vital moment. We were having a lot more success down the left with Cunningham and Gally than Abe and Naughton on the Right.

Didn't see their second goal too well, I will save judgement 'til I can see it again. It was a good comeback and the substitutions did make a difference, Schmeichel should have gone but I thought Leeds should have had a free kick in the build up to it so I'm not too upset. Although Schmeichel should have received a second yellow for picking the ball up off the penalty spot while Gally was set. Loved Wellens pretending to throw the ball at him.

Cracking shot from King to equalise.

Bednar's penalty shout was a weird one, he had his hands all over him and had him in a full nelson (for wrestling fans), but the ref was well placed and waved it on and when questioned was explaining what he saw, including the full nelson, so maybe he saw Bednar backing in or pulling at the defender first.

At 2-2 there were chances at both ends but I think a draw was a fair result.

Davies looked too relaxed today, Vassell nothing for me to give him credit, Howard - hasn't performed well recently and losing his temper way too much. Don't know why Kirkland was chosen. Disappointing first 60 mins.

Don't see how Leeds fans can come up with a sarcastic cheer when our attendance was called out...Over 30,000. Whats so wrong with that lol?

Leeds get an average of about 24-25000, theyre not that far ahead of us.

Whilst I agree, their average attendance in the league is actually more like 28/29k ;)

I assume it's because they think it's because we're playing them.

Because whenever we play away, that team generally has their highest attendance of the season.

8k above your seasonal average today. You're only here, to watch the leeds :scarf:

We were shit. The weren't much better. A draw was fair in my eyes.

Kasper should've gone, we should've had another pen, but so should they. Two cracking goals, mind. Looking forward to seeing them again.

Howard was awful and offered nothing, Davies seems to have his mind elsewhere. Hobbs was good, and Naughton was too.

Leeds me so much of us last season, technically very organised, fit but also very thin on quality. The first half from both sides was very poor.

We didn't deserve to be 2 down but a slice of luck and Vassell (who once we went 4-4-2 was superb) and we're back in it. How Schmichel stayed on however, is a Joke an incredible decision. Chris Kirkland does that at Elland Road, does he stay on? Does he fvck. Credit to Gally, another game where things havn't worked for him, fans calling for Lloyd and he keeps his cool to make it 2-1, really is the boss from the spot.

Good point in the context of the game and an incredible equaliser from Kingy but we really need to hit the ground running soon more to attract players in January than anything else. Thought they summed up how poor this league is, very little between any of the sides.

Special mention to Jack Hobbs today who I thought was superb playing alongside a very poor Curtis Davies, hopefully finding his performances of the past 2 seasons.

Tbf, the second game against a decent club who can sell out their away end and create a bit of atmosphere around the place at a decent kick-off time. Not too bad of an effort in comparison to the 33k achieved in a massive city whose football club has a long history of achievement and fanbase which has supporters clubs stretching from Devon to Cumbria.

Let's not forgot us winning three on the bounce at home before today. Anyway let's not play these silly games, it's says more about both clubs ticket pricing than fanbase currently.

Our home attendances are quite bad, in addition to poor ticket pricing there is the horrendous stewarding and general sterile atmosphere.

I know so many fans who have totally given up going to home games and now just do aways.
