KasperS Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Didn't someone on this thread say Leeds conceded 65 goals with him in goal from 40 appearances last season? Sounds about right
KasperS Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Is it just me, or are leeds just selling all their best players? the leeds fans seem to think so after a quick look at their forums, all of their transfer news seems to be the core of there squad being bought up. It's either they don't rate some of their better players, their desperate for money for some reason, or they've found some alien wonder team who have come to earth to promise them premiership football. This is the first player we've sold, what are you talking about? We are selling an average championship keeper because were looking to improve our defence. Kasper has certainly been a big reason we have such a poor defensive record
Swissberly Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Wish we could sign him all ready he was a cracking GK last term
Guest parky0607 Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 I remember last season before one of the leeds games, bbc did one of those mini documentary things on him and his potential, they were really bigging him up. I don't think he would be the best GK signing, but decent for what is realistically possible. I will judge him on how he performs for us next season anyway (presuming he does come to leicester)

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 As you'll probably already know.. The majority of the time it's not the keepers fault goals are conceded. Defensive frailties like we've seen on many occasions, are the major cause for concern especially when the Midfield push forward looking for goals, and leave massive gaps and no protection, leaving the keeper to pick the ball from the net and have another goal conceded on his record. As a goalkeeper myself, I can confirm that anything that goes past me is very rarely my fault - there's always some dodgy part of the pitch, the sun, floodlights or just general poor defending in front on you that you can blame it on.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Has to be better than last seasons clowns. 24 another relatively cheap but good signing. Glad to see us bringing in some known, decent players instead of complete randomers. An old head e.g. Wayne Brown to help organise the defence, sorted. Weale: Watford away, completely missed the ball. Derby in 09/10, ball under foot. Bristol City away, lobbed from a ridiculous range after fvckin up. Forest, ball slips under body. Long range shots, etc. Then there was Ricardo .. EDIT: Oh wait, add Chris Kirkland's shit performances.
Bert Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Don't expect this to be completed quick, which is what we wanted. Leicester not happy with the bid being made public.

Fox 4 Life Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Although this is annoying for this particular move it's good that lcfc are trying to keep our moves quiet as it stops alerting other clubs to the players we are after.
Ashley Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Although this is annoying for this particular move it's good that lcfc are trying to keep our moves quiet as it stops alerting other clubs to the players we are after. To be honest, I think they should. To me, its disrespectful to talk about other clubs players that a manager is interested in. Dont know about anyone else? He saves on the left, he saves on the right Kasper Schmeichel makes he dad look shite.
MC Prussian Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Don't expect this to be completed quick, which is what we wanted. Leicester not happy with the bid being made public. At least we can say we're not to blame for this mishap.
Burmesefox Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Just read Sky sports transfer page - the leeds fans are up in arms, they obviously regard Casper very highly. My mate is a Leeds fan and reckons Casper is great . I hope this deal is done quickly. Good to see we have agreed on Peltier though - sounds very promising!

whitlock Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Don't expect this to be completed quick, which is what we wanted. Leicester not happy with the bid being made public. With it being made public, is the move in doubt at all now?
dannythefox Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 I've spoke to a few Leeds fans and they said we wont be happy with him. I no one thing for sure though they didnt seem very happy at work today and hes twice the keeper weale is!
Guest parky0607 Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 He saves on the left, he saves on the right Kasper Schmeichel makes he dad look shite. I'd wack that in the new chants thread !
Haydos Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 With it being made public, is the move in doubt at all now? I'd assume it just complicates it rather than putting it 'at risk'. It alerts other teams to their willingness to sell. I think that the price they've accepted would have the biggest effect on our chances of signing him. Other clubs might have thought they wouldn't be able to get him for £1m but may be interested now he's available at that price.
KasperS Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 You keep believing that mate. You're deluded if you think Kaspers anything above an average championship keeper. Lee Camp, Kenny, Speroni, Westwood, Ruddy and De Vries are all much better. See my previous posts
Adster Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 You're deluded if you think Kaspers anything above an average championship keeper. Lee Camp, Kenny, Speroni, Westwood, Ruddy and De Vries are all much better. See my previous posts Would help if Ruddy, Kenny and De Vries were even in the Champioinship
sphericalfox Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Mercury(Rob Tanner) apparently has spoken to Kaspar's agent. Will things be clearer tomorrow in Merc? Will they sell more papers? Will they wait until you've bought the paper before putting it online for free? Questions? Questions? Questions?

See my previous posts Well he is better than what we have at the moment and hopefully our defence won't leave home exposed too often. I will judge him properly once I've seen him play 10 or so games
