Tommy G Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Just spoke to Martyn. Was coming out the gym at the Marriott and getting into my car when him and his mrs pulled up alongside me. He's got a black audi S5 with the numberplate W33GGY before anyone thinks I'm BS. Asked him a few ques, he was happy to stand and chat for a bit. He's moved out his house in kirby muxloe and staying at the Marriott at the min. I asked him straight if he's moving and he replied "hope not" just gotta see like in that geordie accent he's got.. I also asked if wellens was capt for the season and he smiled, hope I'm not reading too much into it but I reckon he's off. He had a mega house in Kirby and no reason to move out. Time will tell anyway, thought I'd share it with everyone anyway

cc_star Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Once Sven has got players in & he's had a look at them, there will be departures Circumstance has dealt Waggy a cruel hand since he signed for us, I wouldn't be surprised to see him be allowed to leave, he's young and needs game time to improve as a player I'll wish him all the best if he does go, & if not I'll appreciate the work he'll put in as a squad member for us
Maybes Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 His Mrs is a solid 8  Good work. Hope the lad don't go.
dpjfox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 If he does go hope its only a loan and hope its to BCFC or Reading
topharry123 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Nice bloke and a lot of passion for the club. Not good enough to be a starter to have but a decent enough sub. Would really like Sven to give him a chance to see if he could play a bigger part for us as he showed promiose the first season he was with us, and maybe with a bit of playing time he could be that 20 goal a season striker that we need!
adam95581 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 IMO he will be the next Max Gradel in so much as he will go on to another team and another manger will get the best out of him and reap the rewards...watch this space.
leicesterisme Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 His Mrs is a solid 8 I'd say a 9. Good work though.
VinceNoir Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Hope he stays, but if he goes then the best of luck to him. He provided my favourite moment as a Leicester supporter when he smashed in that winner against Bristol City. Because I'm a student in Denmark I don't get to many games, so the Bristol match was a really special occasion for me. The sight of 25000+ Leicester fans going absolutely berserk because of his goal will be etched in my mind forever.
Joe. Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Just loan the lad out to a Championship side if we're not going to use him.. I don't even mind too much if he goes to Derby, even though I'm pretty sure he'd do well there.
Bryn Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Don't half feel sorry for him, think he should have been given a fairer crack of the whip. Who knows, he might have developed. He's a very raw player but with a full season behind him from last year he really might have become something. We'll never know.
Father Ted Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 I actually can't believe some of the people that say Waggy isn't good enough. Imo he's just as good as Vassell on the wing. He's still young, strong and always puts a good shift in. I for one would be unhappy if he went.
Criggers Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Problem for me when I have seen him is that he "tries too hard" if there is such a thing. He seems so determined to try and impress he ends up ****ing it up. But I suppose that's what happens when a young lad desperate to impress gets 10 minutes at the end of a match.

Why? because they are two teams i am pretty sure would not be able to afford him should he do well there...

Messi Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 I'd be fuming is we sold him without giving him a chance. He got 13 goals in his first season with us, and he didn't start a game for quite a while, so how can people say he is not good enough? With the talent we have in the team now to give him the chances to score I don't see no reason why he can't be our 20+ goals striker.
Nick Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 He's off - Moving from a house into a hotel doesn't smack of stability....... he'll go on loan or be part of an exchange deal - more likely the former, I'm not sure Sven is ready to sell him.
Tielemans63 Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 When I saw Waggy's missus shopping with him in the Highcross I'd say I was a solid 8 She's tidy.
Messi Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 That's a bit big headed of you isn't it Paddy? Giving yourself an 8, what about her rating
