Babylon Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 I wouldnt trust fourth official ... I know somebody who go's to Tranmere games with one of the guys....they are just really good at browsing the internet, not ITK.... they have done a very good job at fooling everyone though. My friend was actually the person who told them about the Vardy deal, comical really Well they have actually told me how and where the info comes from, and the story stacks up.
Nick Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Well they have actually told me how and where the info comes from, and the story stacks up. And "No" is the answer to the next question.

You not wondered why so many youth players at Leicester knew them?

Babylon Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 How would I know who they know Well if you have followed them long enough you would have seen them talking to them last summer wouldn't you.
Jimbo Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Ive seen this guy play a couple of times, he's pretty good, I worry though that players like this are way too light wwight for the championship, he would get bullied. Doubt there is any truth in this, but would be good to see us linked with players of this sort. While on the subject of players in Spain, and I've mentioned this guy so many times, but I'd love to see Alfaro in a Leicester shirt. I've been to see Tenerife play a few times, he was on loan there a couple of seasons back, in their promotion season and their 1 season in la liga. Brilliant player, went back to Seville but didn't stay long I don't think. I'm pretty sure he transfered to someone like Mallorca, so probably would be a no go. Starting every week in La Liga in the sunshine or transferring to the Championship and coming to live in Leicester? Anyway, if the club does want a scout to see over Spain I'm free, I wouldn't want much money and I'd happily take a trip to Portugal too if they wanted

My friend was actually the person who told them about the Vardy deal, comical really Cant say I share your view, I remember one particular tweet last year about Shay Given, Hutton and N'Zogbia all joining Villa before anyone else knew anything about it. They clearly have their sources and clearly know their stuff.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Well that was shit.Lost the ball every time he got it.

Bert Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Don't like the term ITK, but Fourth Official has some excellent sources. If it was as simple as browsing the net, there'd be a hell of a lot more people saying the same things.
artursteppe Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Don't like the term ITK, but Fourth Official has some excellent sources. If it was as simple as browsing the net, there'd be a hell of a lot more people saying the same things. Spot on Bert. Obvious to me and a few others, but we have to put up with a load of 'tripe' in many posts along the way.Furthermore, does it actually matter where Fourth Official get their information from if it's accurate. Is the information invalid if they tweet that a player is on his way to us, and it happens, and it was the first reference any of us had seen, then someone discovers later on that somebody else had the information before them - of course not. The nature of any information is always that someone tells someone then someone else may advertise it, then someone tells someone else and so on and so on! I do not care who gets the info first as long as it is accurate!
stourbridgefox Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 I think certain people, such as those mentioned above, do have inside information. I appreciate seeing it and if it turns out to be wrong, then so be it. It will have provided an interesting talking point in the mean time. I don't know why some people get so stressed about it. This is my opinion on the reliability of sources. Other Twitter - totally unreliable. Nothing other than a talking point. National Press - this varies greatly but the vast amount of rumours are based on mad ramblings on Twitter. Unless they are quoting sources then it is not worth reading. Bert, Fourth Official, John Percy - Usually a good indication that something is happening, although some of the things they tell us about won't necessarily work out. Leicester Mercury, Radio Leicester - Usually some substance to stories from these sources. They will usually quote whether it is rumour or has substance. Other local press in other regions is a good indication too in my opinion. Sky Sports - usually close to happening if reported on Sky Sports BBC - The BBC seem less inclined to take the odd risk than Sky and and they tend to report on things in the gap between it being agreed behind closed doors and being announced. The Official Site - If it is on here, then it is done and dusted. If anyone doesn't like the speculation then they could just wait for official confirmation. But where's the fun in that? Sometimes a story will not go away and begins to gather momentum. I thought the Peltier going and Rosinior arriving story was unlikely, but it is still popping up and is now in the local press in Leicester and Yorkshire. It might be a goer. The point to my post is that I have a criteria which I judge sources by. By having an idea of the reliability or sources when I read them, I don't get upset if things don't work out. And at the end of the day, it's just harmless faux-news creation to fill the boring off-season isn't it.

Stevosevic Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 #lcfc are interested in taking Keith Andrews in a free transfer (Mirror) Would be a good signing. Didn't know he only signed a 6month contract with WBA.

To be fair to John Percy its not very often he is wrong and I would class his info as being the best by some way - I know Bert doesn't like the phrase but he is definately ITK

Lambert09 Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 #lcfc are interested in taking Keith Andrews in a free transfer (Mirror) Would take him for free
Leicfox Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 #lcfc are interested in taking Keith Andrews in a free transfer (Mirror) We were linked with him in 2008 for £1.5m so this could just be lazy journalism now that he's available on a free. Celtic are also interested as well as Leeds
Jaspa Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Why did West Brom only sign him for 4months ? Not been impressed with him tbh, MK Dons, Blackburn or West Brom But he will add some grit and Premiership experience
DanTheFox07 Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 heard celtic were interested in him, but then who aren`t they interested in that we go for!
Happy Fox Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Waghorn to Charlton Dan Sheed ☮ @SheedyOfficial Leicester City striker Martyn Waghorn is close to signing for Charlton, with Hayes leaving, I could see this coming!#watchthespace #cafc
