Or NP could man up!

By backing down to a player. That takes real guts.

Or MM could. Works both ways.

Milan Mandarich? He's back?

Or MM could. Works both ways.

I have no idea why your post has just triggered this image in my head, but I think I tend to look at the relationship between manager and players as being akin to that of a teacher with a class of students. I guess the school stands by the results of its students in the way that a club stands or falls by its results achieved by the palyers on the pitch. In both cases, the teacher / manager brings out of his charges more than perhaps even they realised they were capable of. I'm wandering .... hang in there. The thought that then went through my head was of MM as the slightly naughty one at the back of the class drawing pictures of genitalia on the desk-tops and sniggering to his mates. Probably because I'm bored senseless this afternoon, I then started wondering who the other players would be. I reckon Beckford would be the kid with the new trainers, Wellens the fat kid that was always the last to get picked for footy at break. SSL might be the one getting extra support for his reading !!! Any other thoughts ??????

Andy King sits quietly in the middle, often coming up with the right answer but generally keeping himself to himself.

Not true about Kingy... He's actually pretty outgoing and loves a laff

Although if you meant on the pitch? Then I do agree...

I'm confused by all this Pearson lacking man management malarkey?

I'd sell Mills cos he was actually pretty shite...

Morgan and SSL are better, as was Jack Hobbs

Imo

His attitude was shite the stats point towards him and Bamba being part of a very solid partnership if he had kept his gob shut and inflated ego down he wouldn't find himself out the door.

I want a manager who can manage good players, instead of losing the club millions farming them off to other clubs on the cheap just because he clashes with them. He is small time, he can't manage any player on high wages, any player with flair, nor anyone who isn't a typical British player who's main attribute is effort. If I'm paying almost £600 to watch his team I want some kind of enjoyment out of it, I don't get that watching that fat tank at the back hoofing it and now his Forest mate may be following him here too? Jesus christ, mid table mediocity again.

Hmm got best out of Danns, SSL, Beckford and also gave King a chance and he got 15 goals in one season.

Brought Marshall, Morgan and Drinkwater in January, all three players have shown what they can do and all 3 were good signings.

£600 for what, your season ticket? If so, move to another area.

In his first spell as manager they wasn't that enjoyable football performances but we got the win, I rather have 1-0 wins than enjoyable games and draw or lose.

Oh and as for Morgan who you are on about, better hoofing it out of danger than fvcking about with the ball at the back, just like Bamba did against West Ham and Cole got the ball back in the 18 yard box.

Don't know why we didn't accept Celtics offer for £3m and Wilson...

I'm not sure if you're winding us up; but, that 'offer' didn't exist ! It was probably (we don't know exactly) an unknown quantity of cash, PLUS Wilson. The TOTAL deal was valued at £3m - probably half (£1.5m) for Wilson (their value on him) and half cash (ie the same as Bolton's INITIAL bid).

Yes and there was even doubt that Celtic had offered any money for Mills. I think they were talking about a 1 year loan of Mills. I'm not sure if Wilson was to be loaned to us for the same period, or was to be sold. The £3m figure comes from the total value of the deal.

Apparently it was £3m and Wilson, but Leicester wanted more money with it

I'd rather have enjoyable games and win

Can't be picky

If that was the case we would have snapped their hands off, so probs not true.

Maybe they want around the money they paid for him :dunno: But I would just let him go and get him off the wage book

If that was the best out of Beckford and SSL then we had better get rid quickly.

To be fair, both improved under Pearson. SSL I have no problem with.

Beckford I'd sell tomorrow.

How about if he doesn't even rate him particularly anyway? Do we keep a player he doesn't rate, just because some other idiot paid well over the odds and gave them a stupid contract.
