tyneside fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Accoding to the Mirror Matt Mills,Jermaine Beckford,Paul Konchesky and Lee Peltier are poised to leave.... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-will-sell-ritchie-de-830083 Must say I am surprised Pelts and Konch are leaving. I expected Mills and Becks to go but in Nige we trust...
Narborough_fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Don't think Konch will unless he's fallen out with Nige, been one of our best players and finding Left-backs isn't one of Nige's forte.
AKCJ Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Don't think Konch will unless he's fallen out with Nige, been one of our best players and finding Left-backs isn't one of Nige's forte. Bruno Berner?
Happy Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 I reckon that incident at Milwall away might have cost Konchesky big time he does sometimes get hotheaded, but he has been our best LB so it would be a huge loss unless we can sign someone better, the signing of Da Laet confirms that Pelts isn't first choice but I would keep him as a back up.
Narborough_fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Bruno Berner? I forgot that was Nigel. But... Ryan Mcgivern!
Corky Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 We'd miss Konchesky. Not sure about the impact of the others leaving.
ousefox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Don't think he'd get rid of Konchesky, no need. Just means he'll have to put more effort trying to find a new one. The rest can go though.
Raw Dykes Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 I'm a bit surprised about Konchesky, but not at all about the other three. Maybe his wages are too high. I'm guessing there must be a good replacement lined up.
Smithy#9 Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Defo can't see Konch leaving. Neither can I see Pelts leaving unless Pearson has a definite replacement.
kingfox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Flaming bollocks. If Konchesky goes our best left-back for many years will just leave us hanging, could we get better than him? Beckford needs to stay has a lot to give, could kick on next season big time.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Can't see Konchesky and Peltier going at all, wouldn't be bothered if Peltier goes though.
Happy Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 We need a first choice RB and a back up, Pelts is a decent back up why get rid, unless deems Moore to be better than Pelts?
cc_star Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Wages, wages, wages... Nevermind 'in NP we trust' does anyone know for sure it's not part of his brief to reduce the unsustainable commitment? Add that to the fact they couldn't collectively cut the mustard, it's no real surprise, barring maybe Pelts because he's young.
Jaspa Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Wages, wages, wages... Nevermind 'in NP we trust' does anyone know for sure it's not part of his brief to reduce the unsustainable commitment? Add that to the fact they couldn't collectively cut the mustard, it's no real surprise, barring maybe Pelts because he's young. He looks young, but hes 25 I think we should keep, will still develop well
Leicester_Loyal Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 If any of these players leave, its because of the wages.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Moore is a better RB than Peltier... Just saying.
ian the fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 dont forget the golden rule...............all last season team were shite ..... please take another look at the table for confirmation ...........thanks
Ozwin Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 It's definitely wage based, the amount of interviews I've seen/read where he mentions financial fair play suggests he's doing everything in his power to keep the club sustainable in the future. NP ****ing loves this club.
Bryn Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 I said a while ago I felt we would accept offers for Konchesky. His contribution has been very good but he's on massive wages.
Kitchandro Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Find it quite hard to believe this. Mills I expect to leave but despite wage issues I can't see all of the other 3 leaving. I don't think Konchesky will go, Peltier and Beckford are bigger possibilities but my gut feeling is they'll stay. You can't blame Sven for paying them high wages, it's the Thais' money and they will have sanctioned the amount we are paying them, as will other people at the club, Andrew Nevillle for example. The manager may want a player a lot it's up to the club to decide where they draw the line.
MPH Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 konchesky will get offers to move to the prem... So will Beckford...I would imagine both will join a newly promoted team... Dont know what the future holds for Mills though... I dont think Peltier is that bad but I think even at 25 we can say the Championship is his limit.....
Saxondale Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Konchesky player of the season for me. Shame if he has to leave because of some Pearson Principles, be it wages or some sort of personality clash.
