Beckford to Huddersfield extended to End of Season

Nigel Pearson - ''I want players that want to be here''. (Or something along those lines). Suggesting JB didn't want to be here.

I fully support Nigel Pearson in that statement.

shut the **** up . you talk garbage fpr 39 to 49 weeks but your still here

How many games did he score in? Answer: 10 (even included up games for you). 49 - 10 = 39.

This = 1 Unhappy Babylon and one frothy at the mouth Buzzy wanking himself furiously to 39 inept displays from dear old Jermaine.

He also said "He wanted to leave so I let him" or words to that effect.

That's it, something like that, my post still stands, I fully support Nigel Pearson in any statement of such.

As do most I'm sure. Surely even his biggest fans must now rather he wasn't here if he doesn't want to be.

I wasn't Beckford's biggest fan, I just wanted him to get a break here and replicate the kind of form we saw in flashes more often for us.

But...I really could not care less now. I hope he stays gone.

You mean waghorn who outscored dear old Jermaine in this league, and Futacs who had a vastly superior gpg ratio than dear old Jermain last year scoring 5 goals in 12 starts. Oh and they aren't even our main goalscorers, they are Vardy (3 in 8 or 4 in 9 you cup fans) and Nugent who already has 4... so by Christmas they should be past the 9 goals Dear old Jermaine got with any luck.

Is the willy puller the one who is a moderator and could ban you for abusing another poster? Or is it the 12 year old spewing venom at his computer screen because his boyfriend got a loan move to Huddersfield.

How often have you seen Futacs play?

Oh and use some punctuation if you know how to..

But he might score goals for another team

I'm sorry to people with that opinion but what do people want us to do? Sign every player out there just to spite other teams? It's the nature of the game and at the end of the day if he doesn't do it here for us then what is the point in us having him here? If we do our bit even if he does perform and score for another team what does it matter?

This is the greatest comeback in the history of the Internet.

And I include Daggers' and Thracian's returns to this board in that.

Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that Beckford doing well at Huddersfield would be a positive in that he is easier to sell should he score goals and I agree. Him doing badly there would mean we get an unwanted and unhappy back for the next two and a half years. Hopefully he scores a shitload and Leeds get new owners and decide on a fan sweetening signing. :fc:

You sad that Pearson's doing well, don't worry I'm sure you can attatch yourself to someother crap player he sells and just block out us winning entirely.

Good riddance to the guy tbh.

I'd love to see us make a move for Charlie Austin in Jan, quality striker. Not that I'm dissatisfied with Nugent and Vardy, but I think we could find room for Austin as well!

Yep, he's heavily rumoured to have engineer his way out... not just by putting in utter shit displays 80% of the time, but actually looking for a move too

Hope he's lost any signing/loyalty type bonuses and that by us pulling out of the deal on deadline day we've got a better return on his wages, not that it matters to us fans but I'd to think of that tw@ pocketing money from our fans' tickets

« Thread StartedToday at 7:58pm » Is a physiological thing that when you have a big man up front, you forget passing through midfield and revert back to long ball?

There seemed way too many times where we seemed to play long balls or was that simply because Watford passed and moved and totally cancelled us out?

As per Paul Ogden, Beckford will always divide opinion. Some will say he did ok, some will say he was very poor. He was certainly no where near fit enough and had JV not picked up an injury, he wouldnt have started today.

Not going to judge a player on one performance but when i asked by the Leeds fans at work how he did, then id have to say I thought he was poor in all honestly.

So far this season, we have prided ourselves on the workrate and you really need that throughout all the team, Not sure we got that from him today although not having had any time to train with the players and not having played in a while there is plenty of time to improve, I suspect he might get the odd development game to improve his fitness.

One point which you could tell niggled Oggy was his refusal to do an interview with radio Leeds. Not sure why and not sure he should have done that, after all fans would have liked to hear from him and hear him speak but wasn't to be. I guess its not for everyone but personally, I thought he should have done.

I don't actually think Beckford has a bad attitude as such but he definitely does divide opinion. Anyone remember the pics of him and Danns messing about in pre-season training and Dyer looking annoyed that they were distracting him? Maybe he is a reasonably nice bloke but has a poor work ethic? This could be pretty divisive if some people are working hard, as it would be in any workplace.

Another thing, Beckford is certainly not a striker to thrive on long balls, so if this is how they play with him on the pitch, then he probably will not do well.

Tbf to Beckford he hasn't played for a while and he only met his team mates yesterday. He might come good for them yet.

Beckford doesn't win much for teams. I've just checked his record over close on 10 seasons and there's nothing above League One level which is about as I'd expected.

The bloke is an individual rather than a team player.

I'll never forget some of the looks Nugent gave him early on during his time hear - either after Nugent had made a decent run and been ignored or when Beckford had hardly bothered to close down an opponent. It didn't auger well.

The debate Huddersfield fans are having about Beckford seems remarkably similar to what I have read on here.

Comments such as, we need to play to his strengths, he doesn't work if things are not going his way, at some point he will score a shed-load for us, all seem horribly familiar!

Apparently he got some stick from the stands too.

I think Beckford's reputation precedes him he seems unable to live up to it.
