Beckford to Huddersfield extended to End of Season

Beckford will score goals. Lots of them. You'll all need a good humble pie recipe.

I hope you are right, I'm not sure that any amount of humble pie will make him a good player for us though, it has so far proved to be incompatible, under Sven and NP.

No Leicester fan should want him to fail at Huddersfield, it will not benefit us in the slightest.

I just hope Becks finds somewhere he can be happy and succeed, the guy takes so much unnecessary shit from people.

The only problem is if he does well at Hudders it's going to hurt us!

Doesn't help himself with the "weak people feel pressure" bullshit, but I agree he is hardly el hadji diouf

Sounds like Waghorn for the last couple of seasons doesn't it?

Yeah maybe ..... For me i just don't see the same quality with Waghorn ...

No chance of you chowing down on any of that?

League one suits him...

Who cares, he never has for us... Scored in something like 10 games out of 49 & rarely did anything in those 80% of games he didn't score in.

I don't care if he scores for them in the 1 in 2 we bought him for, he was never going to do it for us.

Disagree. If he does well for Huddersfield, he might help take points from our competitors + his value increases which means we could look at off-loading him permanently in January or this summer. Him leaving is good on all accounts for us.

Huddersfield fans were impressed with him today noting he's quick, skilfull and stronger than they thought. Scored a good goal and it may appear that Grayson knows exactly how to get the best from him. Good luck to the chap, just wasnt meant to be.

To be fair Beckfords finish was sublime today.

Good for him.

i think people forget that nugent and beckfords partneship was good and its just not about scoring but also assists leading to goals.

I agree - people do forget that.

People forget that because it never happened.

Do you want to go and check how many assists Beckford got last year then? I think you'll be surprised.

I'd play Beckford ahead of Vardy every time.

Let me just say - Maybe Grayson does know how to get the best of him, maybe he will be a cracking player elsewhere, maybe he will score lots of goals at another club, but he didn't do anything for us here, he hindered us rather than helped us, you could blame Pearson for not knowing to handle him, not getting the best of him, funny how most of the other players don't seem to need as much nuturing or special treatment as Beckford did though isn't it and is it any concidence we've improved since he's left the camp? Was he bringing the rest of the team down?

At the end of the day there is no point in having a player here that isn't a) Performing b) Doing their job correctly (whether that be scoring goals as a striker, defending) and c) Simply doesn't want to be here, regardless of what they do when the leave LCFC.

Why has this debate started again? He has scored ONE goal for Huddersfield.

Come back when he has 10.

Agreed, remember he scored a couple of 'sublime finishes' for us too. But I will agree he is very likely to perform significantly better under Grayson.

I have always liked Beckford. He DOES have talent.. wether we got the best out of him or not is another matter.

However i wonder if now he has gone there is a better unity in the team. He didnt break the harmony, he didnt have a bad attitude, its just i think the over the top publicity him and how he did or didnt fit into the team must of got through to the team.

Im simply saying that Beckford and the way the fans went on about him is now not an issue. Least it shouldnt be... yet here i am commenting in a thread about him ( that will hopefully die down soon...)

One less thing to take the teams' focus from winning games.
