DanTheFox07 Posted 28 December 2012 Share Posted 28 December 2012 Always seemed decent to me. Not sure how we'll keep Wes, SSL, Whitbread and Baptiste all happy though, they'll presumably all want to be first team? Get rid of whitbread? he is a clown and a think Sid the sloth can run faster than him!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 28 December 2012 Share Posted 28 December 2012 I have a very faint feeling that Pearson is toying with the idea of playing 3-5-2... I had that same mad feeling FatherTed!
Kitchandro Posted 28 December 2012 Share Posted 28 December 2012 He was one of the few Blackpool players who came out with any credit in the Premier League. Scored 3 in 10, too Eh? I'd say most of their players came out with it with credit, except the defenders, who let them down. With a half-decent defence they would have stayed up. I've seen him in numerous televised games in the Premiership and in this league and he's definitely prone to errors. Against Forest in the play-offs he was a disaster, it was a good job DJ Crapbell was on form that night. But, I've been wrong about central defenders before. He's obviously got something about him, maybe under a better manager than Holloway he will cut out the errors.

deep blue Posted 28 December 2012 Share Posted 28 December 2012 Wouldn't mind seeing that to be honest. Kasper LWB Schlupp CB Morgan CB Whitbread CB Baptiste RWB De Laet CM Drinkwater CM King/ Trotter? CM Knockaert ST Wood ST Nugent Interesting idea. Schlupp seems to be ready groomed for the LWB position (and with Wood coming, his chances of getting a go up front are even thinner).

sdb Posted 28 December 2012 Share Posted 28 December 2012 St Ledger is out until God knows when and Whitbread is only a 20-25 games a season player. Only takes an injury or suspension for Wes and we'll be struggling. Whitbread is doing fine fitness wise and SSL should be back by the end of Jan. I see your point but 4 CB's won't go into 2 and no way will any of them be happy on the bench. Plus Moore is decent back up there.

He's only just been to Germany to see a specialist which usually means more than a month out.Whitbread and Moore have been ok, but clanger prone. norfolk-fox Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Got a feeling Pearson is gonna use baptiste in a holding role in midfield as why another centre back when we have Moore, st ledger (i know injured at moment), Morgan and whitbread all for 2 places unless someone on way out! Kasper De laet Morgan Whitbread Konchesky Knockaert/Marshall Baptiste Drinkwater/king Dyer Nuge Wood
halfpipe Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 I've always trusted Nige's choices when it comes to defence. Guess after playing at the back himself, he knows what to look out for.
Grewks Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 He is only 26, proven top-end championship defender, can play anywhere across the back and even in midfield, didnt shame himself in the premier league. More importantly, he has never played with such a strong defender as morgan, so he should perform well.
Tielemans63 Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Liking the way we're going about our business in this transfer window. Good stuff. If we a get a decent CM I think we'll be cooking on gas.

ADK Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Thought he was older. If hes only 26 then ****ing yes please. He was their best player by a mile when we played them. Him and Morgan would be unbeatable.

Bettsj2 Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Really like the sound of this. NP takes so much shit when the window is closed. 'Its obvious what we need. Why can he see it?' Is popular amongst the D&Gers, yet the window is about to open and it seems two players are lined up of absolute quality that will almost definitely improve the team no end. We are Leicester and I cant wait for 3 o clock today. BLUE ARMEH!!!!
ian the fox Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 we seem to be cherry picking a best player from every team , which is f****** great Its obvious Np is assembling some real quality happy days ahead I believe
Lambert09 Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Pearson will be using him as a CB. He is covering all bases, he see's moore as a right back and st ledge is out. Simple as that.
