Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Got to thinking about how American dramas (especially HBO) are so much better than our dramas here, besides Luther I cannot think of a UK drama worth mentioning. Or is it just my taste in dramas? As I have never been into the Sunday evening costume dramas which were famous for here.
The Blur Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Got a question for you lot! I don't get why Walt decided to go back in drug trade in S3, is it because he has accepted the divorce and have nothing left to keep him out of it?

pSinatra Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Got a question for you lot! I don't get why Walt decided to go back in drug trade in S3, is it because he has accepted the divorce and have nothing left to keep him out of it? It's just my opinion, but it seems that it has less & less to do with the money & more to do with the thrill of it all. Since he was diagnosed with cancer, he appears to enjoy the freedom it has given him - as odd as that may seem. When he started cooking, he had a figure of $600k that he wanted to leave to his family. He has passed that figure easily & there are a load of times where you think "quit while you're ahead". He also has issues about being fvcked over by his old business partners at Grey Matter. I've just about completed watching it for the second time (just started the last season). It's still excellent the second time around & I notice that it's a lot funnier - the comedy stands out much more. There's one moment that didn't seem so significant when I first saw it. When he walks out of Tuco's place after the explosion. When he gets back in his his car, he lets out a scream. This seems to be the moment when his mindset changes.
Beliall Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 I dont usually watch series twice... the last one I did was lost. but after that post I might restart BB next time I load up netflix.

Yeah, I thought he was really put off after events of S2. I thought it was a case of accepting the invetiablity, he is now divorced and he has nothing left to abide by and he might as well cook to make more monet. Shiny new lab might also helped.
Webbo Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Last episode of S3? No last episode ever. Psinatra isn't far off though.
Ashley Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Don't know if it's spoiler worthy but does anyone find themself on Walts side or feel sorry for him
The Blur Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Don't know if it's spoiler worthy but does anyone find themself on Walts side or feel sorry for him Felt sorry for him until S2 finale. He could have easily chosen to quit for good in S3.
The Blur Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 decided to go as walter for fancy dress! If you are seeking some inspiration....

Libertine Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Just finished this. So, so good. And Saul Goodman is just fantastic. So many great characters.

Danizen Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 Watching that, I kept thinking he was going to cut Big Bird's neck open with a box knife.
whitlock Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Series all finished. I thought the ending was ok... for how good the series was, I thought the ending would be much more than it was. Everything Walt has done to everyone I thought he should have suffered more. Best series I've watched though. BITCH
