One of the all time great US Opens.

Heartbroken for Rory. He'll be having nightmares for weeks.

Fair dos. I don't like him, but you have to hand it to him for that shot.

Used to the same but there's lots of stories that have come out and things he has done recently, they show he's actually a properly decent bloke. Just made a few PR gaffs and absolutely the style of play that will annoy people

DeChambeau is one of my favourite players tbh.

Seems a lot more humble these days

When Bryson three putted on 16 after rory had bogeyed the same hole he could have lost his composure . But he came back and made the up and down at the last when it mattered under the most intense pressure.. Rory failed to do what was necessary at the 18th with another missed short putt.. As others have said that’s leaving a scar which may prove very difficult to lose next time he’s got a major in his sights.

I think Rory needs someone other than his mate on the bag

Not that Harry is a bad caddie but in those crucial moments he just hasn’t been enough to help his man over the line in the majors

I had to record Sunday and just watched it.

I think in one sense, deChambeau was very, very fortunate.  Any other US Open, any player who parked most of his drives in the rough wouldn't even have made the leaderboard.  Punitive rough is a distinction of the tournament.

At Pinehurst, the "native" or whatever they called it was not so much guaranteed punishment as a spin of the wheel.  You could lie up against the wire grass -- or (as mostly happened to deChambeau) just be sitting on rough dirt.  His luck held.  Most of his lies were workable, and he easily reached greens coming out of them.

Also fortunate in another sense, that his main competitor couldn't handle two short putts coming home.

Scottie gets his sixth win of the year and it's only June.

Unbelievable stuff really.

First player since Tiger in 2009 to win 6.

Tiger's best season was 2000 with 9 wins.

Gotta laugh at these YouTube wannabies trying to qualify for the Open today.

All giving it the big un on their channels but in reality they're just bang average.

Rick Shiels, Peter Finch and James Wiltshire all shooting in the 80's, Matt Fryer 77, and only Andy Carter with a respectable 72 but still nowhere near qualifying.

Shame Jimmy Bullard pulled out with an 'injury' so we'll never know how his game stacks up.

Still, all good 'content' I'm sure
