'The Nationwide Football League Division One' There's no doubt it'll be a 'premium' name (Coca-Cola, nPower gravitas) it's just who it'll be... Quick history of sponsors... Canon Today Newspaper Barclays Endsleigh Nationwide Coca-Cola nPower EDIT: With the way things have gone in recent years advertising/marketing wise, I wouldn't be surprised if a betting company became the sponsor.

If kids' replicas can't have those company logos emblazoned on their shirts I imagine there'd be similar issues about their having patches with 888.com or Carling on the sleeves. Finance is probably the most likely, I wouldn't rule out media either. Most likely somebody who has been involved with football before, the FA will have its 'preferred partners' and all that noise. Capital One may wish to extend their sponsorship to the Football League. Vauxhall could be a good shout, involved with football already through their sponsorship of the England team and sponsored the Conference for umpteen years as well.

Wouldn't have thought Pepsi would go for it considering their arch rivals were the sponsors of the organisation just a few years ago. Carling may come back into the equation, they sponsored the Premier League for nine years and then the League Cup, if they wanted an entry back in it's feasable though alcohol sponsorship has been drying up in recent years (Carling not renewing, Carlsberg exiting Liverpool). The current deal is worth £7m per season, compared to the Premier League's £40m, but the FL will struggle to get that figure again. It does bring great commercial benefits but obviously not on the scale and media exposure the top tier is. Aviva may want to make a play for the rights, especially as the Marketing Director behind the nPower deal is there now, depends if that's their market. We can predict and think all we want but if it's not £5-8m per season and not a big name (Wonga for example is not a big name) then I'd be surprised.

It doesn't have to a be a big name it could be a company that has aspirations to be a big name and see spending 5 to 8 mill as a way of helping them achieve that aim. My Wonga suggestion was tongue in cheek to reflect the lack of integrity in football these days but still not entirely unbelievable.
