Is that the best you can do...

Says the one who sets up a thread asking about what's going wrong other than Pearson and then responds to none of the points put forward in said thread.

Yes its disappointing how bad we're doing currently. But lets just calm down.

We're still fifth and Id have taken that in August. Long way to go yet.

I remember in 2010 we lost four in a row and people including me thought we'd cock the POs up. Then we won 5 in a row. I hope we can do the same again.

But i am concerned that we aren't scoring enough at all, and aren't even threatening.

But this is so much worse than the 2010 blip.

For starters, the rot has been there for 8 games now (including the cup replay defeat). Secondly, if my memory serves me correctly, that four game losing streak in 2010 featured defeats to a Reading side who were absolutely flying and a West Brom side who went up automatically. This current run of form has seen us repeatedly lose/draw with teams who look incapable of finishing in the top half, let alone in the top 6.

The final point about "not even threatening" is really worryingly true. Today I don't think we had a single good chance. At least back in the Waghorn/Vardy days we were creating chances for us to miss.

I'm not sure if this is the right time to sack him. What pissed me off is why some of our fans thinks he is so great he's avarage at best his tactics in most games are shocking.

You sir may **** off. We can and will comment as we see fit and have as much right as anyone else.

You didn't watch the game so your views are a lot less credible than anyone else's. Sorry if that sounds rude but if you didn't watch the game you don't know enough about what happened. Looking at the result does not give you sufficient information for you to have an informed view on a game.

Again, I apologise if I sound a bit unpleasant but I really don't have much time for people who want to flaunt their views on something they know little about.

All i hear from people like Chris Powell and Kasper Schmeichel is how Nigel is the best manager they've ever worked with! Lets take judgement's from people who were or are within the club! Bored of sacking managers and then when it seems grass is greener on the other side its too late!

Chelski - 10 managers and six trophies. It can be done. ;)

Except we don't have Cech, Terry, Lampard or a Drogba. We have a young squad lacking in confidence who won't get any better by not having a clue who's going to be their boss from one month to the next. Have a bad run and sack the manager - it's an attitude made popular by plastic fans who think football started in 1992. If football's taught me anything it's that most football fans know fvck all about running a club and even less about who their ideal manager should be.

A bad run of form does not justify a sacking. Sacked when we're in the top 6. It's a joke.

I must admit I have lost faith in confidence in NP over the last 5 games. HOWEVER, he has got us where we are. Hes got the best out the team once, he can do it again. I do question his tactics though. Either way, there is literally 10 games left this season. Absolutely no point changing managers now. Would destroy any chance we do have of the playoffs. If the last 10 games are as shocking, get rid. For now, stick with him.

Everyone keeps going on about the top six and being in it. Well I'm sorry, but 7 games ago we were one of the favourites for automatic!!! Now it seems acceptable to our fans we are in the play offs!

7 games ago if anyone had said we would be in danger of losing our play off spot they would have been abused off this forum and called a non believer!

Well sorry, but it's just not good enough!

You will eventually come to a time in your life where you HAVE a life, and you rightly prioritise that over football. In the meantime, try not to be an arrogant **** and think that caring means throwing your money at the club regardless of how they treat you, just because you don't actually have anything better to do, and that those who do have something else to do are somehow less important than you, or have less of a right to an opinion on the internet.

I don't wish to get personal because NP is a human being but It's as plain as day that he'll not take this club forward given the circumstances the owners have put him in. He'll succeed (relatively) elsewhere but, for me, he puts a glass ceiling on the team with his outlook. If anyone is happy with Championship football and excuses you've gotta be under 30 years old and naive!!

Is it not?!

We keep revisiting this issue. The fact is that the majority of us were hoping for playoffs at the start of the season, we then hit a couple of great runs which artificially boosted expectation levels from playoffs to automatic. The fact that we've now dropped back to crossing our fingers for a playoff spot tells me that we're performing on the whole as expected and that there's no need to spit our dummies out.

That doesn't mean that I'm not concerned by this latest string of results, I'm just not as surprised as a few vocal members seem to be by it - did you lot forget when we were winning games that we support Leicester?

Keep Pearson until the end of the season and then wait and see what the owners decide to do by that time. Sacking him now would just be stupid in my opinion, there's 10 games left and Pearson deserves the chance to finish this season with us.

100% Agree. No point changing this late in the season and if the team manages to get any confidence back, then we could still finish on a high and hopefully promotion.

not had a better manager since oneill (and he didnt take us up automatically either... remember?!) a win on tuesday will shut alot of moaners up im sure. people need to also look what NP has done behind the scenes for us.

i can still see this being a season to remember! keep the faith and show support!

i can see why football has changed so much.. alot of fans have forgotten what it means to support there TEAM.

Pearson has got us into the best position in the last 10 years. 10 years of shite, mediocrity and tedium (apart from winning league 1). We've gone through a rake of managers who could do no better so why does anyone think someone else cold come in now and improve on our position?

Yes, we are on a bad run, but truthfully no one knows if changing manager would solve it. Stick with they guy who has put together a team which on its day has shown this season that it can play some amazing football, the best in many, many years.

Of course it is worrying for the fans when things are not going well, but that's because we care about the club (isn't fan short for fanatical?).

Stick with Pearson and judge him at the end of the season.

Oh, and if the amount of posts on this site this evening were translated into actual support for the team then we could actually achieve something instead of tapping away and bitching about stuff that is beyond our control.

Get behind the team and the manager.

SO we just contiue supporting a manager who is not performing, and when do we give up supporting him, get a grip if he is not the right manager for us then time is not going to change that is it? Blind faith

To those who say 'we'd have taken 5th at the beginning of the season'. That's true, but it ignores the context of our position. If the question had been 'would you take being 5th after 36 matches after looking good for automatic promotion' then I'd have been a bit reluctant. I'd want to know why I wasn't being offered one of the top two spots. If it had been 'would you take 5th with ten games left whilst in freefall and in danger of missing out on the play offs altogether' then my answer would have been 'absolutely not'.
