promised land Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 I'm having to Google most of these 'celebrities' Glad I'm not alone there, even Celebrity Juice, half the contestants I've never heard or seen before. Mind you if I had to watch that Essex programme or any celebrity show with these muppets in I would sooner boil my own head. Miranda further up is a good call.
Alf Bentley Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 in previous chat about crotch-grabbing Cyrus, she was at it again at the VMAs last night. It was embarrassing. Truly horrid and vile, the whole performance. "Vile" is an overused word these days, but really does apply to that video. Orwell had the dystopian future vision of "a boot stamping on a human face - forever". Presumably the sick minds that created this have a vision of a hard-faced woman triumphantly grinding her crotch into a human face forever, while surrounded by strutting pimps, gangsters and people abusing teddy bears. Maybe I'm just getting reactionary as I age, but to me this video said something very bad about emotional life in parts of society and culture. I don't think I'm particularly naive and innocent, but I've never had a nightmare as horrible as that performance. What did they think they were achieving? I'd be genuinely interested to know. Showing life as it is? Expressing their values? Hideous. Crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrringeeeeee. To think that was rehearsed and choreographed is staggering. Just think some seamstress was probably up for days working on giant teddybear backpack costumes, sewing long into the night, probably messed up some tendons in her hand doing it, got home tired, her hands were wrecked couldn't make her son's pack lunch for him to take to school, he got to school lunchless, couldn't work properly that day, missed a vital maths lesson, other kids called him 'No-Lunch Larry' and he grew up resenting his mum, 10 years down the line and he's blowing guys in bus station toilets.... just for that abomination of an awards show performance. Glad to know someone is seeing the bigger picture!
purpleronnie Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 I'm having to Google most of these 'celebrities' me too.
Rincewind Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 I didn't find it vile as such I was just indifferent to it. The act was to cover what was a shit song.

Sound plausible to me.
Beliall Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 miley cyrus is the complete package! that trailer park voice suits her down to the ground!
Zingari Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 Has anyone mentioned Jack Whitehall yet? How does that twat earn a living as a comedian? market forces
SystonFox Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 Miley Cyrus has lost the plot Her chicken arse is not good
StanSP Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 Sarah Millican. Is she even a 'celebrity'? If so, she shouldn't be.

Spot-on, that was just grim, you could see most of the celebs in the audience looking a bit uncomfortable, but it was the baying mob in the pits lapping up every disturbing misogynistic creepy second of it. Really what the fvck were any of them thinking. Billy Ray must be turning in his grave, I'm assuming he shot himself over his daughter's antics not that long ago. About the time she started walking like she was wearing metal knickers and was heading towards a really powerful magnet and grabbing at her crotch more than a crab riddled Michael Jackson needing a piss.
MC Prussian Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Why don't we just behead that slut? Don't break his achy, breaky heart.
Kitchandro Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Nobody would be complaining about Miley if she was fit. Personally I just found that video pretty hilarious. The song is just a rapey reminder of how bad popular music is these days. I bet that guy was laughing all the way to the bank when it came out. He's released a parody of every shit song that comes out in the charts and it's become the most popular track of the year. It's the general public I don't get, they're the retarded twats who like this kind of shit.

Truly horrid and vile, the whole performance. http://youtu.be/apL0BArCTz4 This "act" is a great example for what's gone so horribly wrong with the music industry. The show has become more important than the music that is supposed to be promoted (after all, it's called "Music Awards", right?). It was a crap, over-produced and randomly exchangeable song performed by crap artists whose sole aim in life is to make the headlines instead of leaving marks behind with interesting and thoughtful music. The mindless and pathetic "costumes" did their own trick to make it appear even worse. This has got nothing to do with talent or art. It's all a mere desperate cry for attention. To think that a lot of kids/fans adore this kind of behavior just blows my mind. What message does this send out to other girls? "Be a slut or behave like one, it's your/the only way to success"? Miley Cyrus can't sing, can't dance and can't play an instrument. She doesn't even have style - all she has to sell is her body. It's a cover-up for talent, basically. The one cut-away to some other (prominent) guests that simply sat there with open mouths, close to call it quits said it all, really. The less we see and hear from "musicians"/"artists" like her, the better.
Parafox Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 It's the general public I don't get, they're the retarded twats who like this kind of shit. Steady on, I'm the general public. It's not the Music Forum, but while we're at it, I cannot stand the horrible, nasty, sexist, crap that black "artists" churn out. All this "street" or whatever it's called. I have listened to the lyrics of quite a few. They're pretty graphic in they're violent, sexual content. they subjugate women and view them as "pieces of ass", in particular white women, who they seem to think will be "begging for black". They use the N word in various references and connotations. This whole thuggish section of popular music amongst the young and impressionable is very scary.

Spot on It's this dance and rap shit that grates me, it's not the music we know, yet most of it covers the top 10 of the charts now, it's just a load of depressing rubbish. There's still some decent people coming through in my opinion, but very very little.
Fox42 Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 I don't understand the hatred towards Miranda Hart compared to Sarah Millican. She shouldn't be labeled a comedian. She simply talks about woman problems and moans about her partner/husband or whatever.
purpleronnie Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Is there any female comedians men actually like?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Is there any female comedians men actually like? ermmm, tough one.
21st Century Fox Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Is there any female comedians men actually like? Tina Fey & Amy Poehler.
Fox42 Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Is there any female comedians men actually like? None of them are generally stunning. Apart from Shappi Khorsandi
