muzzy1981 Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 http://www.thesackrace.com/teams/leicester-city Does someone know something we don't? This excites me a lot, really think he could do a job in the champ and prem. Could take a couple of seasons though
Leicesterpool Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Can't see it happening, remember the last boss who switched Celtic for a championship club, Strachan joined Middlesbrough what did he do there?
Matt Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 No, no, no and no. We do not want Lennon, He's done a good job at Celtic but I could do a good job at Celtic, put him in a proper league and chances are he'll fail. *Puts on a hard hard in preparation for a torrent of abuse*
purpleronnie Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Yeah he'll leave a title winning, champions league team to come here.
Kitchandro Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 We'd be taking a big risk. I mean he's not really done much, has he. Yeah he'll leave a title winning, champions league team to come here. And this
BMR Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Its just because he has put his contract talks with Celtic on hold.
KFS Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 About the only manager i'd support if he was stood in NP's shoes at the beginning of the new season.
Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Fair enough the SPL was a bit of a procession (which is why he might leave) but surely he deserves credit for Celtic's Champions League campaign. Qualified them through the group and beat Barcelona along the way? My number 1 choice if NP gets the chop.
whoareyaaa Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Wouldn't really want Lennon to be honest. Rather we go for someone with experience like Warncock.
stevelcfc Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 I'd like a young manager with everything to prove if anything does happen.
Happy Fox Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Why the hell not would be a gamble but he is a talented manager, bring Hooper with you please.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 No, no, no and no. We do not want Lennon, He's done a good job at Celtic but I could do a good job at Celtic, put him in a proper league and chances are he'll fail. *Puts on a hard hard in preparation for a torrent of abuse* could manage Celtic to the SPL title with Rangers out of the running.

We do not want Lennon, He's done a good job at Celtic but I could do a good job at Celtic, put him in a proper league and chances are he'll fail. *Puts on a hard hard in preparation for a torrent of abuse* He also took them to the last 16 of the European Cup. If Pearson was to leave, I'd go for Lennon. Young, upcoming and Leicester City connections. Sure he'd make the players work hard.
Steven Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Chris Powell, only three points behind us and with less resources.
AKCJ Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Lennon managed to take Celtic to the knockout rounds of the Champions league. Bring Charlie Mulgrew with you, Neil.
john ridley Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 last scottish championship winning manager we had was jock wallace.....didnt do too bad ,cud he do any worse than
MPH Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Lennon has been very vocally critical of the Scottish FA. He got into trouble again recently as he was caught on camera swearing in the dug out. Harshly treated some would say but does seem to of developed little man syndrome. He's completely un proven as a manager in England and the Thais have said before they wanted a manager who knew the championship... I just don't see him as their kind of Guy....
Deucalion Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 People have a right to their opinions on Neil Lennon, and personally I would like him here because of his past with us. But...it has been suggested that Pearson lacks experience and is tactically lacking. I would suggest a manager from Scotland may suffer from the same shortcomings. He will certainly motivate the players but is this enough with all the continental nous sloshing around in the Championship these days? Last 16 in the European Cup is quite impressive though.
Bettsj2 Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Rather stick with Pearson. If after Strachan won a shit load with Celtic, he was rumoured for us, the usual, 'I aint renewing my season ticket' bollocks would roll out. Just because he was a good player for us, shouldnt cloud our judgement that he has no experience whatsoever of a club in our situation. If we're to change managers, we need someone who's been there, done it and sold a shit load of t-shirts. Our problem has been that nobody either players or management have been able to handle the crisis points. This can only come with experience so for once, can we fvck off the young, hungry manager bullshit and just hire someone with promotion from the championship on their CV??!!

But how many of them are available. McLeish? Coyle? Dowie?
Weller in Tights Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Roberts Di Matteo, heard it from a mate who knows people at the Academy.
