StanSP Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 When do QPR/Derby play or did they play. Monday night.
Rincewind Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Each other? Not sure what we want. probably a draw but a Derby win will put QPR further behind. To feck it up we have to lose four mor games than burnley in 16. can't see that happening after today.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Interesting next 10 days for us without a game, Burnley and QPR both have 2 games to play before we play Forest, worst case scenario is our lead over both of them would be cut to 5 points. Burnley play away at Bolton (who are useless) and Bournemouth away, even if they took 4 points from these 2 games I would be happy. QPR play Derby away and Reading at home, we really could do with Derby turning them over, but Derby have yet to take a point off any of the top 6 sides this season, Reading might do us a favor on Sat though. A massive week for us ahead. it would be nice to see some of our rivals lose for a change.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 In addition to my previous post the top 5 teams have lost a combined total of 5 games in the last 50 games they have collectively been involved in. An amazing stat, considering of these 5 games QPR were beaten by us and Forest, and we also beat Derby. The top 5 teams just hardly ever seem to lose, unless its to one another. Compare this to The Championship over the last few years when anyone could beat anyone.
elangLCFC Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Not sure where to ask this so I'll stick it in here - mods feel free to move as needed. What ever happened to the electronic advertising boards we had a while back? Haven't seen them in a long time

Simmo86 Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Ravel Morrison is rumoured to be joining a top 6 championship club on loan till the end of the season. Doesnt he play every week for West Ham?
Langston Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Ravel Morrison is rumoured to be joining a top 6 championship club on loan till the end of the season. He'd be outrageously good if he's ironed out his temper / lifestyle issues, no doubt will know a few of our lads too.
AKCJ Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Anybody following Joey Barton on twitter? He's going on about how bad Javier Pastore is for PSG and throwing a fit when people disagree. What an extraordinary bellend.

What an extraordinary bellend. He hasn't been very good for them mind; there are some nuggets of truth in what he's trying to say, it's just such a shame he chooses to argue his case in such an outrageously flawed manner.
dayday Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Ravel Morrison is rumoured to be joining a top 6 championship club on loan till the end of the season. Could be Forest, lost another player through injury in Lichaj.
Harry - LCFC Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Certainly won't be us. QPR I'd imagine, fits them almost perfectly.
Soar Fox Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Weren't they turning down £6 million pound bids for him 2 weeks ago? Why would they loan out one of their better players whilst in a relegation fight.

RedHux Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Lichaj is a right back This is true. My money's on QPR.
Dan Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Didn't want to start a new thread so I thought I would stick it in here. This is what we are all playing for: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/10072297/New-Premier-League-TV-deal-promises-100m-prize-money-for-next-seasons-title-winners.html Whoever gets promoted this season will earn around £63 million even if they finish bottom in the prem!!! I'm not sure what the current TV deal is in the Championship, but I read the prize money for winning the league is £50k, £25k for runner up, the difference is huge and it keeps on getting bigger, even if we go up and come straight back down we well have the money to fund a successful return, I do worry about any club that fails to get promoted at least once in the next few years as FFP will restrict their buying power while any relegated club will have huge parachute payments. I just hope that any club going up makes sensible contracts with big reductions in wages for relegation, or has small wages but with big prem bonuses that stop after relegation. It's going to ruin the game eventually. The Premier League and English football is going to be so ridiculously dominant that people will lose interest full stop in my opinion. It seems like the CL is treated as the big one, but who's going to be bothered about that when it's going to be dominated by the English clubs every year? Any club who receives that kind of money and ends up in financial mess should be booted out of the football league for an extraordinary level of ineptness. On the flip side - maybe there's a chance that clubs will start lowering their prices. Matchday revenue is going to be almost insignificant isn't it eventually? Sadly though we all know they'll just pile every penny 'gained 'into their transfer budget. I'm not convinced by the English model one bit. Got a feeling it'll all go tits up one day. I have little faith in a league that sustains itself on TV money and nothing more.
Mark_w Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Certainly won't be us. QPR I'd imagine, fits them almost perfectly. Is he playing in the Premier League? Has he got two legs? Sounds like another perfect Harry Redknapp signing.
Harry - LCFC Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 A majority of footballers are. Not as much as him though.
