Uncle Albert Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 That's ridiculous from Mourinho and like Manwell just said even worse from United and Moyes.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 Moyes has dropped a clanger there. Straight swap for Mata would be acceptable, Rooney is a fat, turf heeded chump.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 The thing that makes it really bad for me is that United are crying out for a player like Juan Mata , could make a huge difference for them.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 He's already coming across as being a bit out of his depth. What with the Alcantara fiasco, panic bidding for Fabregas and now rejecting one of the biggest no brainer deals in Premier League history.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I could only dream Real Madrid came in with an offer like that for Luis Suarez, maybe something like £15million and Higuain. Saying that I would probably take £25million and Fernando Torres for Suarez.
Soar Fox Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 After the last 2 seasons Mata has had it should be Rooney +10 million for Mata. Can't believe Moyes has turned down such a deal.
AKCJ Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 The thing that makes it really bad for me is that United are crying out for a player like Juan Mata , could make a huge difference for them. An injury free Kagawa is just as good IMO. Shame he missed so much of last season, if he could have the sort of season he had for Dortmund then he'd probably win the PL player of the season.
AKCJ Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 Ryan Babel (not) â€@NotRyanBabel105m If you believe that Mourinho is willing to offer Mata + £10m for Rooney, you're what's medically known as an absolute spastic
StanSP Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 Chelsea getting rid of Mata would be absolutely insane on Chelsea's part. Not to mention it would be in exchange of Wayne Rooney (become largely over-rated recently). Mata got something like 30 assists in all competitions last season? Added to that plenty of goals, too. I doubt it'd be Moyes/Mourinho making these decisions, too...
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I heard a few weeks ago that Mourinho wanted Draxler, and was willing to sell Mata so he could do so. But Would doubt he'd offer Mata or David Luiz, he could sell them for £20 million+, each.
foxfanazer Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 Mata is far better than Rooney! If true (which I highly doubt) what are Chelsea thinking offering Mata plus cash and even more crazy than that, what are United thinking rejecting it. A better player plus £10m cash for a player tat has publicly declared he doesn't want to play for them. Can't be true!
Father Ted Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I hope Rooney goes to Chelsea, can see it bringing the best out of him again.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23342660 Confirmed they bid for him but Luiz or Mata were not offered by the looks of it.
Fox92 Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I read ages ago when Mourinho first come back that he didn't either want, or rate, Mata. That could have been rubbish, as I thought at the time, but offering him as part of a deal for Rooney (or Luiz). Wow. Mata was one of the best players in the division last season.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 Good, Moyes isn't a complete berk after all then.
Jaspa Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Cant see how Rooney would fit into the Chelsea attack, with Torres, Lukaku and Ba(Who only arrived in January) as designated strikers and even if you try to squeeze him into attacking midfield he has to compete with Hazard, Moses, Mata, Oscar, Schurrle and that new Dutch lad just to get onto the pitch each game. Its hard to predict what will happen, being realistic I would say he's staying in The BPL and that Arsenal, having put in a serious offer for Suarez and to have seemingly cooled off Higuain are looking quiet likely to me. With Mourinho coming out so publicly to speak of Wayne shakes it up even more though as Chelsea are capable of landing him but as Ive said, I cant see a fit. That leaves this whole thing blowing over and him staying at Utd. Certainly looking like its going to be a very good season, title race is wide open with alot of new blood and old faces looking to prove themselves
Danno Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Jovetic and Negredo sign for City. They will definitely do well with their new manager I reckon.
Danno Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Meh signings from City.So a strike force of Aguero, Dzeko, Guidetti, Negredo and Jovetic is meh?
Super_horns Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Boost for Villa as it seems Benteke is staying for now.
Tom17LCFC Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Negredo will score a lot of goals this season, very good player.
