Jaspa Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 What the hell is a nip? Think its for Japanese, like a shortened 'Nippon'
Kitchandro Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 What the hell is a nip? Nipple? To be fair talking about nipples during training or matches can only be disruptive.
foxfanazer Posted 30 July 2013 Posted 30 July 2013 Think its for Japanese, like a shortened 'Nippon'Yup, Nipponese
Soar Fox Posted 31 July 2013 Posted 31 July 2013 Transfer fees are just getting ridiculous now. Steven Caulker to Cardiff for £9 million pounds.
MC Prussian Posted 31 July 2013 Posted 31 July 2013 Clubs in Spain don't have the money to say no to selling. That's not my point, really. I find it just odd that there's been a massive influx of Spaniards in the Premier League in the past two to three years especially, something unheard of in previous years. This season (or pre-season) in particular strikes me as baffling when you look at all this talent signing for British teams. And I don't see how the British players could profit from even more foreigners in the first team.

Uncle Phil Posted 31 July 2013 Posted 31 July 2013 Just watching Man City - AC Milan. I know it's a friendly but it's 5-3 at halftime. Work to do defensively for both teams.

Well if they're talented enough like you say, surely its a half decent thing for any player to be training with such talents regularly. You only have to look back over to Spain, where the idea of buying the best talents in the world for years could've contributed to the success of their national team. Why there seems to be a large influx of Spaniards lately, I dont know, maybe its economic, maybe its a fashion amongst for the top scouts and maybe it will be Germans next year
ScouseFox Posted 31 July 2013 Posted 31 July 2013 Dunno if anyone saw this on Twitter from the weekend (thought I'd posted it on here but it seems not )
Simmo86 Posted 31 July 2013 Posted 31 July 2013 Dunno if anyone saw this on Twitter from the weekend (thought I'd posted it on here but it seems not ) No subtitles?
Fox92 Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Robbie Savage gave a lift to fans who he spotted had broken down on the motorway once. Cardiff sign Steven Caulker from Spurs. I rate him, suprised he's gone.
MC Prussian Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 No subtitles? There's enough "fookin'" in there to get the general idea. I have a good friend who's a Scouser and she speaks super-fast. Surprisingly enough, I do understand her even when other English, American or Canadian friends go like "Say what?".
MC Prussian Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Real Madrid are in talks to sign Gareth Bale: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23526530
Jon the Hat Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 £104.5M Fee agreed for Bale according to the Spanish media, will not be announced until Spurs complete 3 other deals. Crazy money!
Leicesterpool Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 £104.5M Fee agreed for Bale according to the Spanish media, will not be announced until Spurs complete 3 other deals. Crazy money! Wow so that's it then?
Wymsey Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 I say he's better than Roberto Carlos, both in terms of his dribbling and free-kicks. But it's a big jump really, from one of the best leagues in the world jumping onto another - and the Spanish game seems more passing based.
MC Prussian Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 £104.5M Fee agreed for Bale according to the Spanish media, will not be announced until Spurs complete 3 other deals. Crazy money! Spurs could probably buy an entire second football team for that money, facilities and management, staff included. EDIT: They're already investing the money they don't have yet. Valencia's Soldado is going to White Hart Lane for £26m.
21st Century Fox Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 If Spurs get £100 million does that mean they'll be able to pay back the public funding they blackmailed out of the government to stay in the area.
MC Prussian Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Real Madrid are in talks to sign Gareth Bale: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23526530 According to latest news reports by the Spanish paper "As", Bale is now joining Real Madrid for a fee to be believed in the region of 120 million Euro (roughly £105m). Although parts of that fee could become void, if Real Madrid agree to move some of their players to Tottenham, with Di Maria and Fabio Coentrao being the top names on Villas-Boas wishlist.

Spurs do need a centre back, another striker and obviously a Bale replacement then One of the top two or three players in the Premier League off to Spain again then, will be good to see what happens though
