The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 July 2013 Share Posted 3 July 2013 No no, this isn't going to be a surprising picture of my tiny, tiny man bits. Just wondering (I'm bored, nothing is happening in the transfer market and I just can't quite seem to get excited watching Murray) who you all feel the surprise package for promotion will be this season? The next sentence is going to be one of the hardest things I have ever had to write...... .....I think Derby will be up there. God, I've just been sick in my mouth a little writing that. I was born and bred in sunny Burton On Trent and everyone there supports the Rams so they were, are and always will be our biggest rivals for me!! It's the one game I always look for each season and if we could only win one all year I would chose Derby away. Saying that, I actually have to admit I like the way they have been run in recent years. Kept a manger for a good few years and keep some stability. Made a few decent signings this year too. I think they might actually be able to say up near the top this year without fading away like they usually do. Anyway, I really hope they fook it up as usual but just thought it woud be interesting to see what everyone else thinks? Whose your dark horse for promotion? The very kindest of Regards. Rumble. X I share your sentiments exactly. Sod Forest, Derby is the one for me.

Fox92 Posted 3 July 2013 Share Posted 3 July 2013 Anyone see any of the promoted teams doing a Norwich/Southampton? (nearly us ) Not in my opinion. Don't see why everyone rates Bournemouth so much.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 3 July 2013 Share Posted 3 July 2013 Ipswich are the dark horses for me they finished the season very strongly, no so called super stars and with hook nose in charge have a decent manager at this level Ipswich always seem to be the dark horse. They've been dark horses for the last 5 seasons!
suffolk fox Posted 3 July 2013 Share Posted 3 July 2013 Erm........ you do realise this is a thread for discussing who you think will do well this year? You seem to be under the impression that I titled the thread "please slag off our club, it makes you look big and clever". X Don't need to look big or clever how old do you think i am for god's sake? Just giving an honest opinion, cos it's different to yours that's wrong is it? Stick with what I said and for the record Charlton and Ipswich will also do well. Mark_w Posted 3 July 2013 Share Posted 3 July 2013 Nottingham Forest, are the team you all hate, But no need to worry, they'll finish at eighth, Now Ipswich Town seem well worth a shout, But I really do think that they will miss out. Watford will be back quite close the top,. Come the end of the season it will end up a flop, So which is the side that will surprise us the most. Could it be Leicester to who storm past the post? No.

They are pretty much favorites to go up.

Hollism Posted 4 July 2013 Share Posted 4 July 2013 Am I the only one who think Ipswich will finish nowhere? My 'sort of' dark horse for this year has to be Forest. Can't see them not being in the play offs, but I won't be surprised to see them be in top 3. The powers that be at Watford will have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to make them he same force they were this season just gone. Forest, Leicester and Blackburn for me this year. Fvck off you Southern cvnts!
sov968-Foreverblue Posted 4 July 2013 Share Posted 4 July 2013 Some very good teams mentioned and it will be a very tough league next year. Personally I fancy all three of the relegated teams. If they can have a good start. Losing can become a habit....... Bolton are splashing the cash and have a good manager. Ipswich finished well and also have a good manager at this level. Leeds could be there or there abouts. My shout for outside bet Bournemouth. A great manager, ambitious chairman and a good small fan base. As for our own chances we need to strengthen in certain areas if that is done I can see us there or there abouts..........

It wasn't that, I like differing opinions it was just I thought it was unecessary (as this is a thread about possible dark horses) and a little silly to start slagging off the club again wen there are lots of other threads for that. Anyway aye, I think Carlton will do pretty well too. I hear they have a decet striker? X
RumbleFox Posted 4 July 2013 Author Share Posted 4 July 2013 I share your sentiments exactly. Sod Forest, Derby is the one for me. Too right, I kind of miss the days when they were a bit better and the games really had bite. I think I hate them but need them!
Leicester_Numan Posted 4 July 2013 Share Posted 4 July 2013 So many of us fancy Ipswich to be in with a shout including me so that kind of nullifies the dark horses tag. Rumble could well be right about Derby, they've been running their club properly for years and FFP could play right into their hands. Charlton also not a bad shout by Lasty
