Ashley Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 I like it! I really think we should push for a fan like Ashley to design it next season, especially if you know what happens! Chuffed. Thanks
Toffee_Fox Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Thats the away one and will be used by the youth teams as the 'home' one as they can't wear black due to goalkeeping clashes at that level. Black one is the home one.
Bert Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 That blue goalie kit is the nicest one we've had in a very long time.
Charnwood Norris Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Looks like Kingy has bulked up a bit pre-season.
Charnwood Norris Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 I think the away kit will look something like this. I like that a lot. Putty brown with yellow
StanSP Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 What happened with Konch's sleeves then? Is he our version Daniele De Rossi?
Munshi Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 What happened with Konch's sleeves then? Is he our version Daniele De Rossi? Captain Hook.
Fox42 Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 What happened with Konch's sleeves then? Is he our version Daniele De Rossi? His nipples are also odd...
AKCJ Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 What happened with Konch's sleeves then? Is he our version Daniele De Rossi? What the ****. Embarrassing effort.
KFS Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Might get a long sleeve and pull it all the way up to my bicep. DENCH
SmithyFox12 Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 That blue goalie kit is the nicest one we've had in a very long time. Totally agree with this. Not the norm but stylish
Finchy Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 The amount of people that have a problem with gold is absolutely hilarious.
DennisNedry Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 One of the worst kits in years, the Gold looks so tacky!! We are the BLUE and WHITE army!! Ashley I really like the grey and yellow away effort, I'd definitely buy it if that was the actual shirt.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 The amount of people that have a problem with gold is absolutely hilarious.I lost my genetalia in an unfortunate smelting accident some years ago and now my yoohoo is made of gold
MC Prussian Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 What happened with Konch's sleeves then? Is he our version Daniele De Rossi? They just forgot to tape his right-hand sleeve, like they did with the left-hand side. Bad effort.
mkaiser1 Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 I fancied a long sleeve shirt as I like pulling the sleeves up a bit but still on my forearm. The cuffs however are very tight nd not elasticated. I have REALLY skinny arms but couldn't pull the sleeves up. Any one buying a long sleeve shirt wil HAVE to wear the sleeves rolled all the way down all the time. On the 'gold debate'. You need to picture it with the shorts and socks before saying 'we're blue and white not blue and gold'. The full kit seems like its blue and white with gold trim. I like it. It makes me think of the O'Neill era when everything was blue with white and then a bit of yellow trim. It is VERY shiney though!
kyleolly Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Not really fussed either way about the home shirt it's ok, would love the blue goalie kit in a short sleeved version like Bert said
theessexfox Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 I don't mind the fact it's gold as it looked great in Ashley's design, but that gold is so horrible and tacky
Cockney Fox Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 The whole taping sleeves thing is a complete joke. It's like they've recognised the shirt is a bad fit and are trying to con people into thinking its a puma, not a genesis shirt. Why the hell have genesis done this anyway? Surely they've looked at Newcastle's and other teams and realised they're offering a bad fitting imitation? As ever, we settle for 2nd best.
volpeazzurro Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 I'm very surprised it's getting a load of positive comments. I think it's awful and if another team had it most people would slate it. The collar/undershirt thing is shit, the gold looks really tacky and out of place and the badge is in the wrong position. In fact I'd go as far as to say it could be the worst kit we've ever had. At least the Topps Tiles kit had more white than gold on it. My thoughts precisely. Went to the ground today as sometimes photo's don't do things justice but... what a joke, tacky in the extreme!

Actually, when you think about it, if you were to wear it whilst riding one of those elephants outside in a parade, it would sort of match the occasion wouldn't it.
