"My dislike for the work 'City' is because it is common.

"City is also associated with Leicester, Bristol, Manchester and many other clubs.

"In the commercial world, the shorter the name, the better. The more it can spread quickly.

"It is about identity. City is a lousy identity. Hull City Association Football Club is so long."

The confirmation comes after weeks of speculation following increased club use of an amended badge without 'AFC' on the logo.'

My favourite bit is the guy in the grey shirt after 6 seconds, who is standing there, enjoying the fact that his team are winning at the Emirates, but hopelessly conflicted by the fact that he is surrounded by a few hundred morons.

Another step in the wrong direction on the whole. Another club who's name was fine, had been there for over a hundred years, scrapped for some cringey NFL style name and I can probably guess why too, the same reason any club does anything in football.
