It was supposed to be awesome, so far it has just been a hassle. I have been on the phone for hours with mostly-clueless techs, been transferred to multiple numbers, chatted with a very nice but unable-to-help online community member, and still am NOT playing the new xbox one. I get past the horrible green screen, I get to the update, it starts, it gets to 78%, it stops, start over, same result. It tells me to contact support who calls me back HOURS later and plays clueless (maybe not even playing). Waiting for online chat now and call-back in 90 minutes. "Turn it off, turn it on, cycle this, cycle that, turn it off again?" RIDICULOUS!!!!! Hope anyone who hasn't even made it this far gets their stuff working. Frustrated right along with you. My most recent theoretical solution is to get ahold of the EOU, but I haven't managed to get the agent on here yet to ask about it. Will update if I hear anything." Trade it in, should fetch a decent price on eBay. Wait until next March...

No one deserves to go through this amount of nonsense at the expense of £430. It's a disgrace. The system has been pushed through and it isn't ready. Neither are the game developers, there was no need to rush it at all and now they have, it's hit the fan.

The eject function didn't work so it required a manual eject which required a paper clip (not included) and he still couldn't eject it, so someone else told him he needed to stick it in a bit further than you'd think.

But at £250 it simply isn't worth it. For an additional 100 the ps4 is far better value. Mind you, wait another couple of years and there will be four titles worth getting. This, Zelda, 3D Mario 2 and Zelda 2. At least the system works though.

I think it's very poor that there are no games preloaded on it. There'll be. Lot of parents that have bought it for there kids on Xmas day and little do they know, Forza Is a 30GB download. I'm happy enough, the games aren't anything special but still fun. It'll be mid 2014 before we have some killer titles. Destiny is the one for me. Can't wait.

It did piss me off a bit that it took hours before I could actually play a full game on it, but that was down to a combo of my broadband not being super fast and the fact that EVERYONE was downloading all day yesterday. Like you say babba, next year will be the one. Legend in blue must be going for the fan boy of the year award. It's getting really boring now.

z-layrex Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Loving my bone, it's classy as ****. Build quality on the controller is incredible. Had no issues luckily. What really impressed me was how stable everything was on launch day, Live never went down for me and ghosts downloaded very quickly. Multitasking all the media stuff via voice makes everything very easy and simple too, great UI. CoD with dedicated servers is awesome, not had a single disconnect . Very happy so far. Can't wait for Titanfall. I've even ordered the 'art of titanfall' book.

Back in the day I would've been bang up for getting it on day one, but now I'm a bit older and wiser, I can see that it's betetr to wait a few months. I'll be able to pick it up in spring/summer when there are a few better titles out, and I should be able to pick up the launch titles a bit cheaper. Bit annoyed that Dead Rising 3 has gone back to Xbox exclusively, those games were always amazing fun to play. So your going to get a ps3! But are going to wait a few months, think it should be long enough now!

Killzone, Ryse, Forza and NFS Rivals look so so good.I was playing NFS last night on X1 and I honestly couldn't believe how good it looks. These are just launch games as well, imagine a couple of years down the line. Not that graphics are the be all, but it's nice when a great game also blows you away visually. I'm saying this as a PC gamer too. Games like cod are a smaller graphical leap, but it's still significant in my eyes going from 360 to X1. Remember any YouTube videos you see will be compressed to hell so don't often give a great representation. I would honestly highly recommend a ps4 or x1 to people, I'm loving it.
