crisp monster Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Firstly, many thanks for all the very kind thoughts and messages regarding my post on Saturday night - I was a bit tired, pissed and emotional when I wrote it so I hope it didn't come across too bad. Sadly, as expected after the doctors examined him again on Sunday and found no signs of brain activity, a decision was made to turn off the machine that was keeping him alive and he passed away at noon today. Neil was a terrific bloke, much liked by all that met him and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Although some of the games have been disappointing over the last few seasons, the day out with him and the footy fix we had was always a pleasure. Loved his Leicester City as much as anyone ive ever known. gonna miss you big man Leicester till we die many thanks again to all
Bert Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 RIP Neil. Lets hope there's 3 points to come tomorrow for him.
Guest Bilo Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 RIP Neil. What terribly sad news, 39 is no age to pass away these days. Let's hope the boys can get another win in his honour.
Dan Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 That's heartbreaking that is. So sorry to hear about it R.I.P Neil Palmer.

Libertine Dream Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Truly heartbreaking and it really does make you stop and think for a moment, that someone still young can suffer that without any real warning, without a chance to say goodbye. RIP Neil, lets hope the boys get 3 points for you tomorrow
theessexfox Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Hard to find any words. It's amazing how the thing (LCFC) which connects us all can give us such emotional bonds with each other that we all feel like this when one of us goes. RIP.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 From what I've read on your posts. He seems to have been a very committed City fan and loved the club as much as anyone. Like others have said, it's truly shocking that these things can happen at such a young age. Makes you really want to make the most of every moment. Very sad news. R.I.P.
TJB-fox Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 If I was a player reading this, it would get me really fired up to win for Neil, absolutely horrible news, hope the boys do him proud, sad sad news

Fox42 Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 So sorry to hear about your loss. Next time I'm off to the pub I shall buy a pint in his honour. This is one very special family. This is one thing that other sports cannot hold and that's the special love we all share for each other as fans, and friends. RIP Neil Palmer.

Wakeyfox Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 Such a waste of a life. I'm 39 also, not done half of the stuff I want to achieve yet. Lets hope we smash Blackburn tonight and raise a glass to the memory of Neil. LTID
Ric Flair Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 So sorry to hear this, my thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP
Leicesterlad96 Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 Have you considered asking the club to do a minutes silence or something along them lines? I'm sure they could do something like that.
Wilson_6 Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 Will any one be getting in touch with the club? such a sad story. Think they should at least be an announcement or a minutes silence or what ever we do now.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 R.I.P , hope we get 3 points tonight for him , Leicester 'til We Die !!
