TheUltimateWinner Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Just failed its health and safety inspection. No emergency lighting on the stairs or lights to the nearest fire exit. Chaos walking down the steps in pitch black, no stewards with torches nothing. Won't be surprised if people were injured.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Very poor. There should be emergency lighting, fluorescent strips on the stairs and stewards helping fans in such situations. I think the KP will need a bit of investment and TLC should we get promoted.
Voll Blau Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Yeah but no-one was tapping the back of the stand so it's OK. Thousands of deaths avoided.
Webbo Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 You'd think they'd have a stash of torches to hand out to the stewards to help get people out of the ground for just such an eventuality.
DennisNedry Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 You'd think people would be able to walk down stairs and through the concourses in semi-darkness.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 I agree it was stupid and very dangerous. Pitch black in and around the stadium is not acceptable with no backup light system.
Bayfox Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Shit I could have died!!!! Oh no I ate my carrots. Ffs
EnglishOxide Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Shut up you tarts. This is why they opened the pitchside area so you didnt have to walk through the concourse. The emergency backup worked, to some extent. Thats why the game was able to continue.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 High Risk fans. High Risk stadium. I died earlier too but my mate tweeted Sam Bailey and she's gonna do a concert for me so happy days.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 You'd have all been moaning more if the game couldn't have continued!!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 You'd think people would be able to walk down stairs and through the concourses in semi-darkness. H&S for all its common sense says different You'd have all been moaning more if the game couldn't have continued!! Correct
Matt Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Could have easily been abandoned due to 'fan safety' which was a strong fear for me, I've seen many things affected for much less than today. I must say though, deal with it, it wasn't that bad, I do feel people need to (Without being sexist here) 'Man Up', get over it. It really wasn't that bad, certainly not where I was anyway and thats all I can comment on. If it had been abandoned I would be having a big spew over sissy H&S right now! No doubt i'll get a backlash for my comments now.
Soup Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Gutted,I nearly took my Idiana Jones style torch(petrol soaked rag, wrapped around a log) What an idiot!
leicesterisme Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Jesus christ, always something to moan about. It was dark but you could still easily see where you were walking.
gazfox9 Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Today will be massively frowned upon health and safety wise. Very, very dodgy. Alright saying everyone got out ok, but I'll tell you now, had it been a serious emergency there'd have been a stampede and some serious trouble
Unabomber Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 I put my iphone torch on whilst walking down the stairs, I like to think I saved at least 3 lives, and 8 sprained ankles.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Leaving the ground was a non event for me, surprised people felt "unsafe". Been to plenty of events with sod all lighting as you leave and pretty sure there were no catastrophic scenes there either.
dog_4 Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 anything goes! Even helicopter can land on the pitch!
