Well that was ****ing garbage.

Compared to watching last friday you would wonder if it was the same team.

But that is the sort of shit promotions are built on.

we are going up.

I was shouting out 'YYYEEEEEESSSSSS' in Yates' in Portsmouth when Nuge put that one in. Was so happy!

Nice to see us beat one of McDermott's sides too. I can't stand that pr**k.

I say this in all sincerity. Pearson has done incredibly well but now he really does need to earn his corn. Today, Leeds went 4-4-2, doubled up on Lloyd Dyer and limited us to very very few chances. Yes, we won, but we could have easily not done. McDermott did his homework on us pretty well today and so too could other managers now that we are up there to be shot at. Its gonna be interesting to see if Pearson sticks with his 4-4-2. I think he will, its our best formation, but expect more games like today I would imagine.

McDermott did his homework on us pretty well in the home game.

I don't mind people saying Konchesky was a bit shit. Because he was a bit shit, definite bad day at the office and I'm sure he knows. What I don't understand is the bitterness, resentment and zeal that comes across from the people saying it of a player who has been a solid and consistent part of fantastic run of form.

I quite enjoyed the game, feisty without being nasty, and interesting as it turned out.

City were clearly the more accomplished side but the energy and application that Leeds brought to the game first half made it a real contest. Thought it was good to watch.

Second half was scrappier but maybe we just shaded it, lots of spells when we looked well in control but Leeds fought hard and it took a really good goal to beat them.

Great result, just keep calm and carry on......

Dont think we were that bad, good away performance, would have been happy with a point but when that went in I went berzerk.

Konch was poor and he knows it, admitted on twitter it wasnt his best game.

We would never have won that last season. Exactly the kind of game the likes of Cardiff & Hull would've won last year that I'd argue was largely the difference between us and them.

I'm starting to genuinely believe it's our year now.

Kevin Phillips is Yoda! May the force be with you Master!

I think today he did exactly what many of us expected of him: came on late in the game and made an impact. From what I've heard he's also incredibly hard working in training which is exactly what you want, a great role model to the younger lads, especially with his goal tally over the years. Someone really to aspire to who brings the right attitude to the squad, as well as providing an excellent coaching option/mentor and a quality player on the pitch when you need it. Seems to play for the game itself which is great to see and it's an honour to see him in a Leicester shirt at any age.

Biggest win of the season

Could very well be!!  Let's not underestimate that Leeds played a deliberate style that did not allow us to dominate the mid field unlike Derby last week.  Each and every one of their players put in a shift across the Park, with the strikers tracking back to reduce space and time for the likes of Dyer, Drinky and James.  It made for a pretty ugly game. But all credit to Nige and the Boys coming out in the second half to control the 2nd half.  After the first 45mins there was only one that would nick it.

Great credit for Liam who was carrying an injured arm to cross that ball into the box.  credit for the great thinking of KP to dummy and allow it to go to Nugent and great work from David to slip it by a slow and flat footed Paddy Kenny.

Yes this game could very well be the biggest and most important win of the year coming off a huge home win and Leeds coming off a humiliating defeat at home.

This is how things tend to go when you are flying high.  26 games down 20 to go and 5 points clear of second, 6 of 3rd and 10 of 4th.  This is not an accident.  We are the top team in this league and a performance like last nights was not as pretty as we would like shows we can win under all circumstances.

Everyone saying 'Leeds did there homework on us' should maybe watch some highlights of their other games this season. I've been unfortunate enough to see them live a couple of times and they try and play that way all the time. Niggly fouls, leaving the boot in, trying to 'go in hard' etc. the difference with us is, we can handle that kind of thing now. Towards the end of the 1st half and the majority of the 2nd, we just held the ball in non problem areas and let them run around after us.

By the 75th minute they had nothing left but all of our players still looked fresh. Yes they created some chances first half but you'd expect that off the back of some dreadful results.

To me it looked like us doing our homework on them and being patient not the other way around.

Good post.

I knew they wouldn't be able to maintain their pressing style for the full 90, so for us it was all about hanging in there and taking a late chance. Well and truly did a job on them

over the moon we beat these. I hate Leeds more than any team. I wouldnt mind so much if they were like a stoke. a physical side that dishes it out but takes it too. but not leeds, half the time their not even looking at the ball when they into a challenge and so much as breath on them and they'll be rolling round on the floor like someone's wrapped a chair round their head. not to mention the media bias, Michael Brown makes a dirty challenge and he's a player who gives "100% commitment". if he played for any other team he'd just be called a dirty f****er. same with the diving too, I remember on the commentary them saying that some of the diving was 'clever play'.

hate leeds so happy we beat them but even better the way we did it with a last minute goal lol

hope they go down and down and down

I want to see Tunnel Cam, bet he was going after him down the tunnel 'Brian, BRIAN'.

Massive result. Not only did we grind out a win on an off day, but we did it on a day where Burnley dropped points at home. If we go up we could look back on this result as one of the biggest. 6 points clear of 2nd now.

I thought we shaded it in the 2nd half but overall we should have lost. Kasper put in a Jekyll and Hyde performance, making great stops to save our bacon but then flapping at a number of crosses. Fortunately Leeds were extremely wasteful.

It was always going to be a tough game, Leeds had to react after the previous two matches and they did. But for us, it was the reverse of Cardiff at home last seasons. Teams that go up will win matches they should lose. It pisses of sides like Leeds, but it has to happen. You can't always be at your best and we certainly weren't yesterday.

But I'm buzzing about the result, and Burnley's. Thoroughly enjoyed being at the Stag's Head in London to watch it as well, who from here was there?
