AmyLGK Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I bloody hate honorary PhD's...work your ass off like me to get one, or get and rich and famous and you'll just be given one! Still love the owners though of course - just grinds my gears!

Mark_from_USA Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Well as a businessman he's pretty much a badass. In fact, his worst investment is Leicester City! Hopefully promotion will help turn that around somewhat!
kingfox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 That's all he came over here for, he will sell up now.

Still love the owners though of course - just grinds my gears! Although one could argue that, in some cases when they are well chosen, the recipients have worked equally hard .... but out in the field and sometimes over a significantly longer period. My argument falls to pieces, though, when one considers that Jeremy Clarkson has one, I believe ??!

5waller5 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I can understand it grinding the gears of those that work specifically for a Phd ..... But strengthening the family's thais ( .... made me laugh anyway) with the city as a whole is a good thing!!!
Simonb Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 He's worked his ass off to get where he is, but I do agree, no one should be given a PhD without doing the bloody course
