Father Ted Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Pearce or Saunders I'm hoping! Zola and Hoddle could actually do something half decent there I reckon with the resources.
LanguedocFox Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Latest odds on next Forest manager from SkyBet Gianfranco Zola 11/4 Stuart Pearce 15/4 Malky Mackay 6/1 Neil Warnock 12/1 Roberto Di Matteo 14/1 Neil Lennon 14/1 Gary Brazil 18/1 Steve Clarke 18/1 Paulo Di Canio 18/1 Owen Coyle 18/1 Nigel Clough 20/1 Gery Megson 20/1 Dave Jones 20/1 David Kelly 22/1 Steve Cotterill 25/1 Gareth Southgate 25/1 Sean O'Driscoll 25/1 John Robertson 28/1 Ian McParland 28/1 Alan Curbishley 28/1 Peter Shilton 33/1 Micky Adams 33/1 John McGovern 40/1 Stan Collymore 50/1 Trevor Francis 50/1 Interesting thing about this list is that it doesn't include MON. I remember when Florist were relegated from the Premier in 1999, we played them the last game of the season at the City Ground (they won, of course) and they were convinced that MON would leave City to go there. God alone knows why they thought that, but it was a very strong rumour. Anyway, I would have thought he would be on their radar: not that he would take a job where there was that much interference from know-nothing owners.
Rocket-Ron Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Abusing more disabled people? This will go down a treat with forests injury list then
Nick Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Psych (SP) was on Talksport yesterday speaking about the vacancy..... quietly touting himself methought. I'd be surprised if they went for him. I would imagine they are begging Zola but unlikely to get him. Long term, Hoddle would probably be great if he is able keeps his daft views in check though personally, I think they'll end up with Malky - the 'proven track record and recent League experience' will be the strongest argument and the most comfortable fit.

Would he want to work with another ludicrous owner though, although yours doesn't seem quite as insane as Tan... clearly he knows sod all about running a football club. Plus I'd imagine he's be in the middle of a compo wrangle with Tan.
Fox in the North Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Stuart Pearce has turned down the job. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/9234623/championship-stuart-pearce-turns-down-nottingham-forest-job Dean Saunders come on down!
Captain... Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 This is fast becoming my favourite thread. Fawaz will be managing them by the end of the month...
LanguedocFox Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Don't know if this has been posted before, but this is a great article about wee Billy from Monday's Guardian: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/24/billy-davies-nippy-sweetie-nottingham-forest. I particularly like the idea that he is really 5ft 5in tall, but insists on saying that he is 5ft 6in. And they say that size isn't everything.
LanguedocFox Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 This is fast becoming my favourite thread. Fawaz will be managing them by the end of the month... Mine as well. One doesn't like to gloat, but sometimes it's difficult not to.
ScouseFox Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 genuinely think fawaz might just give it to himself or a random mate he owes a favour to if someone doesn't say they want it soon.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 so funny Pearce turns them down as well. Lets all laugh at Forest
Tinman Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 @FAWAZ_ALHASAWI â€@fawaz_alhasawi1 38m I would like to categorically state I have no desire to interfere in team affairs. The manager's job is to manage @FAWAZ_ALHASAWI â€@fawaz_alhasawi1 28s I am very pleased to confirm the loan signing of Lee Peltier. Welcome to #nffc
Captain... Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 so funny Pearce turns them down as well. Lets all laugh at Forest Fawaz must be a right cvnt if a Forest legend, that has been out of work for 2 years, turns down the chance to manage the club he loves and where he is adored by the fans.
Tinman Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Apparently..... Peltier was signed on Monday, Forest then tried to pull out and claim they hadn't signed him after Warnock told them to eff off, Leeds complained to the FA and told Forest he could only come back if Forest paid his wages for the rest of the season. Then Fawaz decided they might as well have him anyway after another defender (Lascelles?) got suspended on Tuesday.

Tinman Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 From Footy Mad Hi fellow Forest fans and fans of opposing teams who are revelling in our present issues. I wanted to offer up the truth about what has happened over the last 6-8 weeks which has led us to this horrible position we find ourselves in (and I am not talking about being just 2 points off the playoffs). About 8 weeks ago, Billy put a list of players together for loans. To say they were unrealistic targets is a very large understatement. One name on the list was Javier Hernandez of Manchester United. Another was Lee Cattermole. That should give you an indication of how ridiculous the list was. True to his word, Fawaz approached no less than 12 clubs enquiring about players and not a single club gave permission to speak to the players' representatives. As results began to slip, Billy was asked what was going wrong and he repeatedly stated to Fawaz that if he had been successful with those players, we would be challenging for 2nd place. In summary, he blamed the lot on Fawaz. The atmosphere between the 2 became really difficult and Fawaz took advice from external sources on who might be available for loan so he could offer the info to Billy and find a solution. Billy found out and went mental. At this point, he told Fawaz that he was manager and he decided who came in and who was played. He then played Reid despite being asked not to risk him and he got injured again and Billy dropped Abdoun and Djebbour who Fawaz had offered as a response to the question: "If you have a better idea who should play, tell me." This was all being kept under wraps until Billy leaked the information to Abdoun and Djebbour who then shared it with the rest of the squad during the post-match review of the loss to Barnsley. Cox got the hump over the fact that most of the squad felt Djebbour and Henderson should be playing up front ahead of him and he took a swing at Abdoun. Tensions have been high in the squad ever since. Billy broke the trust between him and Fawaz. Fawaz insisted he played Abdoun and Djebbour in the game against Derby and Billy refused. Regardless of the result, Billy was going. Fawaz's final act was to ask Billy to leave with dignity, saying goodbye to the fans, the players and the staff and Billy refused. The dressing room dynamic has shifted. What was once our most powerful assets (togetherness) has disappeared. We can recapture some dignity and perhaps some much needed points if we bring in someone who can galvanise the squad again. We need a man manager, not a tactician. In all honesty, in my humble opinion, we need Malky Mackay who did a very similar thing at Cardiff when there was a fall out over wage disparity amongst the squad when Bellamy came in. Anyway, I thought you all deserved to know the truth. As always, I share the information with those who want to hear it. To those who may want to stir and cause trouble, please do not do it on this thread. I don't think my health (both mental and physical) could deal with unnecessary foolishness. Anyway, I will attempt to answer any questions I can if you have any. SBC
Captain... Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Sounds plausible, it is clear Billy had lost the plot and Fawaz had lost patience with him.

SBC I neither know nor care whether this really is the truth but if it is, then the person who wrote it must be deeply involved with Florist - as an employee or a team member. Bit odd, isn't it. Fun though.
RedHux Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 It kind of fits with what's going on. In our last two matches two players have had a go at Jara, one even planted the nut on him (in that rubbish way footballers do) during a game. The Peltier stuff is pretty much spot on. Leeds went whining to the FA and here we are.
Dan Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 I find a lot of that believable and typical of someone with Davies' loser, 'anyone but himselfs fault' mentality. Javier Hernandez lol I've had to stare at the floor whilst I laugh. I'm not even joking. What an absolute clown.
