Fox92 Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Martin won't go. He's said before he'd never return to any of his clubs. Given his status at Forest, he could have managed them before so why would he go now and work for a (what seems to be) lunatic owner?
Leicesterpool Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2591055/Forest-want-Ireland-boss-ONeill-City-Ground-end-season.html Can't see o neil walking out on Ireland so soon personally I think he would be tempted to go if it was only temporary till the end of season, but I don't think he'd actually take the job full time and walk away from the Republic Of Ireland. Blimey just imagine the stick he'd get if he left the republic at such short notice

LanguedocFox Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Excellent article on the Beeb website about the Florist Fiasco: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26752165. Well worth a read if you're into Schadenfreude.

Kitchandro Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Not only does Davies sound like a dick but Cox does as well, again not surprisingly. Taking a swing at your teammates because they're rated higher than you fat cvnt.
Corky Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 I think we can assume he's not a fan. He's not, didn't mention "best squad in the league".
kingcarr21 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Cant believe some forest fans want nigel clough as manager I can guarantee if his surname wasnt clough they wouldnt want him as manager Fans are seriously deluded Although he was useless at Derby so go ahead have him as manager and give us something to laugh about
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Malky Mackay has ruled himself out of the Forest job they better increase their short list to a long list.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 I would like it known that I am also ruling myself out of the Forest job

foxes_rule1978 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 This is comedy at its best, sack their manager and no one wants the job... maybe someone managing in non-league might be interested... Or Dowie is always available
Corky Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Billy did take them back to their rightful position in the world. Below Leicester
Voll Blau Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Great work from the Nottingham Post. A regional daily’s tongue-in-cheek reference to a sacked football manager who previously clashed with journalists has won plaudits from the industry. Billy Davies was sacked as manager of Nottingham Forest on Monday, 48 hours after a 5-0 thrashing by East Midlands rivals Derby County. The Nottingham Post responded by inserting Davies’s picture into a front blurb advertising its weekly jobs supplement. It featured a picture of the jobless manager on the phone alongside the words: “Looking for a job? Hundreds of vacancies up for grabs: see our jobs fair special inside.†The Post clashed with Davies earlier this year when the then Forest manager confronted a press photographer following a match against Millwall. Dan Westwell, who supplies match day pictures to the Post, was accused of “unprofessional conduct†by the club – an allegation which both he and Post editor Mike Sassi said was “completely unsubstantiated.†Northern Echo editor Peter Barron commented on his blog: “The Evening Post could have taken the high ground and risen above the provocation – but I’m really pleased it didn’t.†Peter said the front page blurb “not only delivers a spot of revenge but it is a creative way of promoting the job ads and selling more papers.†Former Northern Echo editor turned editorial consultant Peter Sands described the blurb as a “work of topical genius†in a tweet, and suspected the hand of Mike Sassi. However Mike later revealed in a tweet that it was in fact the brainchild of Post features editor Claire Catlow. Mike declined an invitation to comment further. http://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2014/news/plaudits-for-daily-over-jobless-socccer-boss-ad/
marko Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Peter Reid to the rescue! http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-id-walk-down-m6-land-nottingham-forest-job-claims-reid-14032885363
HEGGSY Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 He's not so confident of his ability then "I'd take it just to see if I could get them in the POs" Basically then, he'd do it for laugh.
KFS Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 They're still heaping praise on their wonderful Fawaz. Surely that's a joke? How has he managed to brainwash them like he has? If Leicester were in that position we'd be embarrassed by an owner like that, and with more than enough money spent; worried and angry too. But Forest fans? They've started a thread 'showing support for Fawaz'- wow!
Vlad the Fox Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 They're still heaping praise on their wonderful Fawaz. Surely that's a joke? How has he managed to brainwash them like he has? If Leicester were in that position we'd be embarrassed by an owner like that, and with more than enough money spent; worried and angry too. But Forest fans? They've started a thread 'showing support for Fawaz'- wow! It's so embarrassing for them but its so hilarious. The man is an incompetent fool shoddily running the club and pissing off other clubs and people in the sport as he goes about it. I just can't believe their fans can't see the farce that he/it is. There is a reason people turn the job down, don't forget that McCarthy also turned it down last year claiming that his vision for the club and the owners vision didn't match and then joined Ipswich. They can butter it up all they like but for me alarms the size of the tsar bell would be ringing.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 Does anybody think there is anything in the Martin O'Neill connection to the job? I personally cannot believe he will leave the republic job so soon after taking it. And cannot imagine he would ever consider working for Dev.
