Langston Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 You won't be far off now... Warnock will have them training in body armour tomorrow. they won't be conceding 3,4 or 5 anymore Quite right, Warnock's Leeds were notoriously difficult to break down.... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2012/mar/20/leeds-nottingham-forest-championship ....And that wasn't the only drubbing they got at Elland Road that season. Let's not remember Forest couldn't buy a bloody goal under Cotterill either. **Oh, and Hux - if you like defenders that can't actually defend then boy, are you gonna love Pelts.
Ozwin Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Seriously guys. How ****ing lucky are we to have the Thais? Like for realz.

jonthefox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Warnock doesn't want it according to a few on Twitter. Just going to post this myself.
Alf Bentley Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Latest odds on next Forest manager from SkyBet Gianfranco Zola 11/4 Stuart Pearce 15/4 Malky Mackay 6/1 Neil Warnock 12/1 Roberto Di Matteo 14/1 Neil Lennon 14/1 Gary Brazil 18/1 Steve Clarke 18/1 Paulo Di Canio 18/1 Owen Coyle 18/1 Nigel Clough 20/1 Gery Megson 20/1 Dave Jones 20/1 David Kelly 22/1 Steve Cotterill 25/1 Gareth Southgate 25/1 Sean O'Driscoll 25/1 John Robertson 28/1 Ian McParland 28/1 Alan Curbishley 28/1 Peter Shilton 33/1 Micky Adams 33/1 John McGovern 40/1 Stan Collymore 50/1 Trevor Francis 50/1 Of that list, while Warnock might have the best chance of dragging them back into the play-offs (then a 1/4 lottery chance of promotion, maybe 1/3 with Warnock), Malky Mackay would surely be the stand-out choice medium-term. Sacking him could well mean relegation for Cardiff, employing him could well mean promotion for Forest next season. I like the idea of Collymore as manager, though. An intelligent bloke, but you just feel that something bizarre and horrible would go wrong. How about a dream team of Collymore and Kenny Burns? About 5 years back, Burns stood on my foot in the stand at Forest - and apologised most humbly. Lucky for him or I'd have decked him! Just joking, Kenny! He's a very big man, whom I wouldn't have liked to have faced as a striker!
Strokes Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 PSYCHO PSYCHO PSYCHO PSYCHO PSYCHO!!!!!A forest fan I know is desperate for him
johnny the fox Posted 24 March 2014 Author Posted 24 March 2014 He is the dwarf that snow white rejected..
Soar Fox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 This would be even funnier if Owen Coyle got the job.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26725125 If I were a Forest fan (and thank God I'm not!), I would be very concerned by this interview. As suspected, this Fawaz guy hasn't got clue what he's doing. Sacks his manager, announces the signing of a player for his intended new manager, fails to secure preferred new manager, employs some former player as advisor because he's a legend (in spite of the fact he played the game donkeys' years ago), doesn't seem to have any strategy on what to do next other than listen to what other people tell him.... The quote: "We spent a lot of money this year, we expected to be top" basically sums the guy up. He clearly thinks money equals success despite having the ideal example to the contrary just down the road! They will of course hear the bits about him working day and night, great club, if not this year then next blah blah blah... but in reality, there stands a man who looks completely and utterly lost as to what he should be doing next. It would seem that we got so, so lucky with our owners.
Fox in the North Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I'm having serious déjà -vu of the past two seasons from reading half of the threads on ltlf x)
ozleicester Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 two things... 1) Thanks Redhux, the best away poster on the board, balanced, knowledgeable and interesting. 2) (Not aimed at RH)
separator Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Fawaz wanted control over transfers according to Talksport this morning. Reason why Colin didn't take the job.
RedHux Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Kenny in for Darlow, Peltier for lascelles? Bugger that for a game of soldiers.
MC Prussian Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Oh what a great time it is not to be a Forest fan. Their owner is just one step below Vincent Tan in the baloney department. It didn't help that Davies came up with his intricate (and highly eyebrow-rising) starting line-ups, either. Granted, injuries played their part. But you don't go out there and play a defender as a striker (unless his name is Steve Walsh).
RedHux Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 ...and then move said defender to the wing whilst an international winger sits twiddling his thumbs on the bench.

To put this in perspective, the equivalent situation would be the LCFC board firing Pearson and then taking advice from Alan Young on the future of the club
marko Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Fawaz wanted control over transfers according to Talksport this morning. Reason why Colin didn't take the job. And the starting XI according to a few local journalists. In particular, more game time for Abdoun and Djebbour.
MrSpaM Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I'm really baffled by the love their owner is currently recieving from their fans. From an outsiders perspective he's running the club like a complete shambles, yet everybody on their forum is acting like he hasnt put a foot wrong and it's all Davies' fault. Very strange.
