I really don't believe he will be a success as a manager, yes , he was a legend as a player for them, but that means nothing when it comes to management, only buys him a bit of time before the fans start getting on his back.

They must have asked everyone else and got turned down. Still it's a fantastic appointment. They must have looked at Alan Shearer at Newcastle, Joe Royale at Man City, Hoddle at Spurs, Souness at Liverpool and decided that a club legend is the way to go.
