fuchsntf Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 For me there were 2 leaps of faith....QPR...it was how we played, and the new found discipline and belief the players had. Then Derby, then for me no end doubt, Burnley was a game that confirmed for me the Title. I did/do believe we might drop points, I would like we dont lose, I'd love getting above 100 pts, but here I have no feeling, other than we will get at least 96pts, but no more predictions left, other than as said title is ours. Pearson wont let players lose their discipline. Doncaster at home maybe a silly day at the office, if Doncaster are safe.
Elsie Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Woods goal against Burnley. A finish that had me going mental in a random pub in hull. Funny that, as I was doing the exact same thing in a pub in Derbyshire on my own at one end of the pub while at the other were a group of Man Ure fans watching them play Villa.
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I remember telling my mates that we were the best team in the league after beating Derby. We also looked to have broken the cycle of QPR, Burnley and ourselves swapping positions by pulling away a bit. Burnley away confirmed it for me.
Anthrax Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Leeds away. Wasn't the best performance but we stopped a prolific McCormack scoring and nicked it right at the end with a bit of guile and experience.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Leeds away planted the seed in my mind. Wood's goal at Burnley confirmed it
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Equaliser at The City Ground. That was our last tough game before four straight forward games. Do the job in them and it was never likely we would get caught - and we did. Emphatically as well. 3-0, 3-0, 3-0, 3-1.
Danizen Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 The Derby game removed all doubt, for me. Derby were so impressive before that game and we just tore through them.
Mark_from_USA Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 It was when we went through the holidays when Leicester traditionally does poorly and won everything in the league and put the little blip behind us.. Then we went out of the FA cup in respectable fashion on Jan 4th and I thought "OK no more distractions, City just need to apply themselves and they'll walk this". And so they did.
Rocket-Ron Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 We've been up since QPR away. Yeah Christmas period was the telling time for me. against QPR we just looked so much better than the year before, more controlled in the way we played. Although I never imagined that we would go on such an unbeaten run.
Unabomber Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I only truly believed it when it happened. It still doesn't seem to have sunk though, but i'm sure that that will change on Tuesday.
Stadt Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Ipswich awayThe same for me, they were the better side and we ended up 1-0 down at HT, Pearson made changes then we completely dominated and won 2-1.
Bayfox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 When they put that p. Next to our name. But I had a feeling and noticed how driven this team was when knocky scored that goal at watford. Knew our players meant business then, they wanted to get the job done.
rico Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Derby at home,Premiership display that blew away an in-form team at the time and sent a message out to the rest of the league
kingcarr21 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 For me it was Drinkwater equaliser against watford at home. At that point i just thought we had a great never say die attitude and we would make it over the line and into the prem whether it was 1st or 2nd. The Burnley Away game confirmed for me that the title will be ours
MattyFromLE Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Leeds / Watford / Bournemouth / Yoevil. We scrapped, played dirty, got a goal with great timing in those games to confirm we came away with some points.
docho66 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 As soon as the board kept the faith with Pearson. I will admit, I had my slight doubts and worries with the lack of signings, but in Nigel we trust!
Dan Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 The amount of contenders for this are frightening. What a season.
thebluefox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Drinkwater scoring last minute against Watford, I remember walking away from the ground saying that's it we're going up. Still can't believe it's happened with six games left.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 QPR away we showed the braun, Derby at home we showed the beauty.
