leftbackinthechangingroom Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Puts things into perspective here's us bickering about pitch invasions and this has happened r.i.p
Leicesterpool Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 I seen the stewards and the medical staff rushing into the away end, i know why know! RIP
iamafox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 I genuinely feel sorry for Donny and their fans. Having to endure relegation and the loss of someone's life in the same day is such a devastating blow. RIP
Matt Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 This is awful, had no idea, I was just celebrating - how shit do I feel, although like I say had no idea. RIP very sad. Also had no idea about the Leicester fan who 'fell' what happened there then?
DB11 Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 This... feels horrible, would've been slightly better had they stayed up, but for them to go down after that is even more horrible. Are you actually being serious? Like their status in the Championship in any way shape or form correlates to the level of 'horrible-ness' a fan dying is.
WhispyWizard Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 wife just said she had a text of her mate saying she's been at a+e as her son fell down some stairs at footy got fractured cheekbone and a bloody good headache, small world isn't it at least he's okAh thats good, he looked unconcious when he was stretchered out. Hes gunna have one hell of a headache for the next few days!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Sounds like he has now died since DRFC's LRI tweet. Horrific
Super_horns Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Very sad. Puts everything into perspective. Somebody collapsed at Charlton in the week but survieved. Sadly this guy didn't.
Socks Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 They were wheeling someone out on a stretcher in the tunnel in the Dickov interview aftewards fully covered Sad
foz.foz Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Ah thats good, he looked unconcious when he was stretchered out. Hes gunna have one hell of a headache for the next few days! Saw this guy go flying by out the corner of my eye, and felt the floor shake when he must have hit the bottom of the steps. One of the lads who was with us said he saw him at half time, and he looked bit worse for wear. How pissed off would you be missing the trophy parade
promised land Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 They were wheeling someone out on a stretcher in the tunnel in the Dickov interview aftewards fully covered Sad The Paul Dickov interview on the FLS? If so then no they weren't, it was a paramedic wheeling a trolley with their medical bags on it, why would they wheel a person on a trolley near the dressing rooms when they're interviewing a manager and all the players children are walking by?
leicestermark Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Devastating to read the confirmed news of his death. Feel awful. Can't now get the image of the screams of their fans calling for medical aid out of my head. RIP Ray.
broughtonblue Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Awful to get confirmation, many people have asked me what were the celebrations like, I replied there was a mixture of emotions having witnessed the CPR going on, I know age shouldn't come into it but 42! FFS, that's 5 yrs younger than me. Just a bloke who went to the footie, but never returned home. Feel for the people he travelled with.
Unabomber Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Very sad news, thoughts are with his family and friends.
Bert Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 42. Just awful. Third time in as many games someone has passed away at the ground. Heartbreaking stuff. Must've been awful for those close by, it was bad enough watching from my seat. RIP Ray. The Paul Dickov interview on the FLS? If so then no they weren't, it was a paramedic wheeling a trolley with their medical bags on it, why would they wheel a person on a trolley near the dressing rooms when they're interviewing a manager and all the players children are walking by? Especially seeing as the bloke went out the North stand exit and presumably straight into an ambulance.
Corky Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 My word, what dreadful news. RIP to Ray and thoughts with his family and Doncaster Rovers.
Gary Eatfood Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Awful tragedy, thoughts are with his family and friends.
Leicesterpool Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 42! my god terrible news. RIP! couldn't imagine how horrible it would be for his family! From where i was sitting in the kop, you could see a guy running down the steps screaming for stewards to get some help up. The stewards and medical staff got up there very quickly and tried everything to help and save him. Again thoughts are with his family, friends and Doncaster Rovers.
