Leicesterpool Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 Is that the best Villa can do?! Panic buys by the sound of it. Boils down to the fact there's no money there at the moment.
David Guiza Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Not exactly related, but I see David Bentley has retired aged 29. I remember thinking him and Pennant were going to be future England stars..

David Guiza Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Agreed It all went wrong when he made the mistake in leaving blackburn for spurs Yeah, him and Mark Hughes had Blackburn in a decent position. Bentley left and his career went tits up, along with Blackburn's Premier League status eventually.
lgfualol Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Bacary Sagna to Man City I dont rate him that much. Am I wrong?
One Legged Beaver Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Completely Pointless move. He's not going to oust Zabaleta from the first XI and they have more than capable back up if he can stay fit, which does seem to be a big if in fairness.

Mack Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Agreed It all went wrong when he made the mistake in leaving blackburn for spurs It all went wrong when Bentley had a bit of success, had a big group of people blowing smoke up his arse, and he believed the hype and got way ahead of his own ability with his attitude. Now he cant face signing for a Championship (or worse) side so has thrown it in at 29. What a ****!

It was when he refused to go to the u21s for a summer tourny as he thought that he was above them, look at him now and look at Jordan Henderson who played for the u21s at every opportunity.

Yeah but he went up to Capello and shouted POSTMAN PAT in his face and it made Jimmy Bullard laugh #propercharacter #topbantz
Unabomber Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 West Brom appoint Alan Irvine as manager I had to check if it was who I thought it was and all I can is wow, and that is not a wow of being impressed.
Dan Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 We're going to come above both of those two IMO and pretty convincingly too.
Super_horns Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Be good news for you - out of his depth at PNE and Sheffield Wednesday so what chances a success in the Premier league.
StanSP Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Some Owls think his management there was one of the lowest points of Sheff Weds.
Tielemans63 Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 West Brom appoint Alan Irvine as manager You've got to hand to the WBA chairman, he's doing everything in his power to ensure relegation. Sacking Clarke, appointing some Spanish no-mark and now bringing in a guy who clearly can't manage - he's making all the right moves. Seriously though, is he that fooking tight that he's prepared to keep gambling on low-profile, largely unproven managers?
Leicesterpool Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 West Brom appoint Alan Irvine as manager Such a laughable appointment If they tried harder they'd could have got either a Tim Sherwood or maybe even a Neil Lennon.. but who do they go for...
Guest seanfox778 Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 West Brom appoint Alan Irvine as manager Reminds me of Blackburn appointing Steve Kean, surely it'll end in disaster. Can only be good for us.
Steven Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 West Brom appoint Alan Irvine as manager West Brom fans seem happy. http://westbrom.com/forum/index.php?topic=13829.0
Tielemans63 Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Rob Kelly will be his number two. That means Kelly just has two more clubs to work for before he has been employed by all 92 league clubs.
