Ansteyfox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Mines just arrived. I feel a full LCFC and England day coming on.
ealingfox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 As great as it was to watch that brilliant season again I couldn't help being pissed off by the commentators. The majority of the dvd sounds like the commentary has been recorded after the event. Ah bollocks, its not that FoxesPlayer guy who does it for the youtube channel highlights is it? Was really hoping they'd sort something else for it, that guy is woeful.

Fox92 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Mine got delivered today also Sod England tonight, it's all about watching us be Champions again! Just about to watch it now. This will be good...
Marmite Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Might pop down and pick one up, Watch the DVD tonight before England
promised land Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Might pop down and pick one up, Watch the DVD tonight before England If you go down don't waste time looking around the store for them as they're in a box behind the tills. As I have just found out.
Kitchandro Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 I switched it off after about 15 minutes. For someone who recorded all the highlights off the tv I'm starting to wonder why I bothered buying it. It is a pitiful effort, no narration to build it up, pathetic, boring commentators, rushed highlights for the TV matches. Just bargain basement stuff sold for huge profit. Still, I'm sure it's a nice thing to have for most people.

True, I received mine and I did enjoy it but I wouldn't say it is worth £10 but hey it is still footage of one of the greatest seasons we have ever had all in one place. Not seen what match access has to offer or extra features though..
Matt Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Enjoyed it, if I'm being super critical it's a shame it's not HD coverage some of the footage is very poor quality but on a whole enjoyed it and tbh think £10 is very good value. I especially enjoyed the parade highlights on the extras bit.
ealingfox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 I was worried that it would just be all the YouTube channel 'highlights' in sequence and from the sounds of things that's what it is. To think people were hoping for a dramatic intro involving the Watford incident and all that...
Bryn Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 That's really poor. There is no excuse not to put out a quality product.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 That's really poor. There is no excuse not to put out a quality product. I agree, it was a great opportunity to have something that truly made you relive this wonderful season. I do feel somewhat shortchanged
Raj Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 If you go down don't waste time looking around the store for them as they're in a box behind the tills. As I have just found out. Hhhmmmm..wished id read this before wasting 10mins wondering around the shop like a tw@t before finally asking someone!!! No big display or anything regarding its release..good sales gimmick that!!!!
Bryn Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 I agree, it was a great opportunity to have something that truly made you relive this wonderful season. I do feel somewhat shortchanged If they've not bothered with any additional features other than just banging the highlights on, I'd genuinely take it back. It's not a "season review" if that's all it is.
Footballwipe Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Do have some of the same reservations as Kitch and some other have regarding the quality. It's not been tendered to Paul Doherty International like the other DVDs of the last ten years so it's very much an in-house product. Worth the £10, but that's all. No blu-ray is a really big disappointment. However, having said that, after the frustration of not producing one last season, thank god they've done one this year.
Devonfox1884 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 How would people compare it to the 'champions' 08/09 DVD??

VLC86 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 The main problem with this DVD is it makes me want to hide in Jamie Vardys house and violate him when he gets home.
Marmite Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 If you go down don't waste time looking around the store for them as they're in a box behind the tills. As I have just found out. Wish I had read this earlier . Walked in the shop and walked around looking for them thinking they had sold out. Asked a lady who abruptly said they were behind the counter. She had probably been asked that a 100 times

I would have thought they would be on the shelves and certainly advertised better

Tom's Pasta Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 I'm actually a bit disappointed with the dvd if I'm honest, I feel like they did the bare minimum. Expected more interviews with players and staff and there was no narration or any build up to any of the bigger games. Still, it will be great to watch back in a few years time because it was a magical season.
Narborough_fox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Glad I wasn't the only one who was a little disappointed with it then. Distinct lack of interviews with players and could have done with some extra features.
smudger63 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 As has been said, the dvd is a bit basic in the way it`s been put together. Probably explains why it was only £10. I enjoyed it though, and it `s a visual record of a tremendous record breaking season that we can look back on in future years. It also reminded me how rubbish we were at defending set pieces! Also reminded me how much i`m going to miss Dyer, he really did have a fantastic season, and it`s such a shame he`s not going to be here to enjoy the premier league with us next season. Also reminded me what a good finisher Wood is! As for the extras, the parade footage was ok, but my god how miserable and uninterested do some of our fans look!
