suffolk fox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 We are desperately in need of more players in certain positions? Np has even stated this. Yet we can't seem to sign anyone when it does only take other clubs 48 to 72 hrs max to get a player in. Something has to be fudamentally wrong with our dealings in these matters. Who for gods sake is too blame? Someone has to be culpable? Fanni has come and gone back, I am sick and tired of hearing about bloody Cambiasso. We need to start signing players, sooner rather than later. We must be struggling to name a 25 man squad. Our strength in depth is getting beyond a joke. Is it the wage cap? We need to realise we are Premier league you have to pay premier league money. After all if you live in Knightsbridge you do't shop in Lidl.

The transfer window doesn't close until the end of the month, there's transfer activity going on in the background so it's not like we're doing diddly squat. Besides, we don't live in Knightsbridge. We are Leicester and we shop where we want.
Bert Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Who says there's a problem? Maybe we're just sticking to our policies and not being bullied by players/agents wanting mega bucks because we're in the big time now.
suffolk fox Posted 19 August 2014 Author Posted 19 August 2014 Knew i would get the normal mongroid responses from blue tinted specs brigade? However, we have had the best part of the summer to sign or at least assemble a squad competitive enougth to compete in the premiership. Tomorrow is the 20th of the month. There are only eleven yes eleven days left of this transfer window. We then can't sign anyone until January by then if we are in the bottom three it will be bloody hard to avoid relegation. If we can't attract players now, with our policy what hope will we have in January? I want us to stay in the premier league this is the place to be. Unless something changes it's going to be a short stay.

EGBFitness Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Doesn't the loan window shut even further away? Don't think there's no issues with our recruitment team, we have done business pretty early in the window and I'm guessing we're assessing our options before the window shuts too
NewquayFox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 At this rate we will miss out on Ulloa, Albrighton, Hamer, Barmby & Upson.... ;0/
Out Foxed Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 we're in the Prem. Players are trying to take the piss.
sylofox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 FFS its summer 2013 all over again? Ever thought some of the players we are after have never heard of us.
JoeyB Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Pearson has already said he only wants to sign players he feels is right for the team, he's not going to go out and spend £10 million on 2 players who Ego's are massive and will disrupt the team, pearson has spent the last few years developing a squad of players who want to play with him want to play for him and the club, and he won't ruin that just for one player. I for one think that this is the best team I have seen at leicester and the best thing is that we have a lot of talented youth players. NP will have players on his radar but he will have told the people dealing with the transfers not to get bullied and onlyoy get the players if they want to come and play for the club not just for money.Wish everyone would stop worrying about transfers, Southampton went up with a similar squad to one that one league 1 and the championship and they only added a few players and see how they did.

You seem to be getting some serious grief for raising a very reasonable question. All of transfers this summer appear to be rumbling on for whatever reason, be it a frugal approach, be it a measured approach, be it poor negotiation and yes I appreciate that transfers take time but even the most loyal fan surely will see we have been linked with a number of players and whilst some may well be media hype, we have been able to secure very few. NP has even alluded to the fact we have missed out on signings.
Mark_w Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 When did Nigel state 'We are desperately in need of more players in certain positions'? I must have missed that.
Ric Flair Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Pearson has already said he only wants to sign players he feels is right for the team, he's not going to go out and spend £10 million on 2 players who Ego's are massive and will disrupt the team, pearson has spent the last few years developing a squad of players who want to play with him want to play for him and the club, and he won't ruin that just for one player. He's also said he'll sign players who are difficult characters if it improves our team so it's swings and roundabouts. Fact is, we are at least 3-4 players short of an acceptable amount of players and less than 2 weeks left of the window. It's a concern. Fans can claim it's not a problem but it will be as soon as we lose one match!
Fox seen in Norwich Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 There's a reason the majority of Pearson's signings are decent... Patience in getting the right sized peg for the holes

Tesco are in trouble because they followed the crowd and failed to change with the times. Astute shoppers (who don't have bottomless pockets) are choosing to shop at Lidl. Only a fool would be happy to pay Tesco prices. Tesco are having to adapt to the challenge posed by Lidl. I would prefer to see NP finding it tough and shopping at Lidl, rather than running the risk of bankrupting the club by shopping at Tesco. Riyad Mahrez and others were picked up in the bargain basement at Lidl. Purchases like these will secure our Premiership survival and also our Financial survival.
Clever Fox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 I still think some of the best deals are done the last few days of the Window. Players and agents lower their demands when they want to get away and clubs want them off the payroll. Have faith in Nigel.

He will get slagged for not spending and if he spends he got the wrong players or did not spend enough. Has anyone thought our injuries may have changed his plans. Also all the shite in the papers means nothing they are guessing as much as we are.
JIMMYWILLIS Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Agents don't work weekends or bank holidays so even less time left. Game over
