It does seem that Liverpool have been offered him if rumours on Twitter (Telegraph as a source) are correct but, that said, it only seems like he has been offered to them and as others have stated - that means very little nowadays. If the Guardian are reporting it, you would hope it has more truth to it than say reading it in the Mail but even they are swaying towards us too. So, fingers crossed.

The team sheet will sound a bit more Premier League if this does happen; "Schwarzer, Cambiasso and Defoe all start for Leicester City today".

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA are people seriously turning their noses up at Defoe?

Vardy, Nugent, Wood and people are turning their noses up at Defoe? Blind loyalty is the loser here.

someone somewhere thinks it's very, very likely to happen and therefore sky won't let people take much money off them if it does. so they're not thinking it's very likely to happen, too. it could all be rubbish though.

I try not to take too much notice of betting odds in some cases, there's far too much of a story behind things. Plus, the slightest thing changes and a deal won't be done. It happens all the time with manager changes/player transfers.

yep, manager/player moving markets are very fickle. one big bet here or there and bookies shit themselves that the person betting is "ITK" so slash the odds. half the time it's just someone with a lot of money having a bet on something they think might happen.

Yes its not long ago Pearson was odds on to be fired.

Yeah bookies run scared when there's even a little money because info on these is seemingly easily passed around/found out. Even some joker having a punt on an outsider can get them worried. Imagine if you're a bookie and someone calls up asking to put a bet on next manager somewhere 'cos they aren't on the list. You'd think something fishy was going on.

Many others, like McKay odds on for Palace then the whole homophobia/racial stuff came out. I've seen many manager markets go odds on then they actually employ someone completely different. They're not often wrong that a person is talking to a club or being considered by a club. There's so many possible hitches to deals that betting on that sort of stuff is extremely risky until you know it's a done deal. Problem is the markets are closed by that time as the bookies are shit scared.

The odds Chelsea would be given for the win if they were playing against us.

MON was stupid odds on to be our next manager before pearson came back wasn't he? Because a load of people had bets on it probably cos of "info" like the thread on here at the time lol.

They're an interesting guide but just cos Defoe is odds on to join us I wouldn't be getting his name on your limited edition red kit just yet.

Schwarzer

Simpson. Moore. Morgan. RDL

Mahrez. Cambiasso. Drinkwater. Schlupp.

Ulloa. Defoe.

With players like Knockaert, king, Albrighton on the bench as well, that's actually starting to look like a proper PL squad. With the rumours of Lennon as well, even more so.

Defense needs a bit more quality/prem experience, though.

Keep putting in performances like we have been doing in the last few games, and with players like Defoe adding that extra quality we could do very well going forwards...

Exactly. Wouldn't want to spoil such a beautiful kit.

He's been pretty disappointing for Toronto and although he isn't an awful player. We are capable of getting better for less, instead we could get Gilberto off Toronto instead.

While I was staying in Toronto, saw him play a couple of times and was impressed. He is rated highly there and my mates who support TFC reckon he can be a good player in Europe.

Disappointing? He got around 11 goals in 19 games. Despite the level he still knows where the net is
