deep blue Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Inter fans said his long balls were shit too I am licking my lips at the prospect of him putting long balls through for vardy - as long as Jamie can learn to anticipate them.
Raw Dykes Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Great signing. Will be a big, big help on and off the pitch. I'm sure the rest of the players will love having a player of his calibre around the place, especially Drinkwater, James and King. I think they'll learn a lot off him.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Always obviously known about Cambiasso but never watched him closely play before. So to use an example for me it was like having a Pirlo style player in our team. But obviously Esteban is better!
lee7 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Only just watched the highlights on sky, but when he came on he was so calm on the ball, showed in the half that he was playing that he has amazing technique and makes everything look simple. Always talking to players and barking instructions. The fact he has came on and made such a big difference makes me even more happier that I won the cambiasso signed shirt competition
Phube Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 I hate to say it but watching on MOTD he reminds me of Arnar Gunlaugsson (not play, just litle bald bloke in the middle)!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Not sure if it's been mentioned but his communication and leadership was visible from the TV coverage. He was constantly yelling and waving his arms about and when ulloa went down and they had a free kick I think it was he was barking instructions on who is marking who and keeping shape. Just thought it was great to see in his first 45 minutes and a clear signal that he hasn't just come here to get a pay cheque. With our lack of top flight experience his leadership and experience is so important and it was on show today, all class he is, all class.
ScouseFox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 can he speak english? cos like roo i noticed a lot of conducting from his midfield position, was just wondering what he was shouting cos i was sure i'd heard he wasn't exactly fluent
Freesolo Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 can he speak english? cos like roo i noticed a lot of conducting from his midfield position, was just wondering what he was shouting cos i was sure i'd heard he wasn't exactly fluent No he isn't Fluent but he speaks enough to get by hopefully his english will improve vastly over the season. I think he is a natural leader with a wealth of experience, all the players seem to respect him immensely and its amazing that we managed to pick him up all considered
Guest Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Fully expect Cambiasso and DD to be our midfield pairing next match. Both are a cut above Hammond and King and we'll need to retain possession against Utd.
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Fully expect Cambiasso and DD to be our midfield pairing next match. Both are a cut above Hammond and King and we'll need to retain possession against Utd. James and Drinkwater cemented their place last season but I don't think it'll be as fixed this time. I imagine we'll change things around depending on circumstances.
Master Fox Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Didn't see the whole game today, but sounded like Hammond was excellent again. Mahrez and King sounded like they were struggling a bit through fatigue? Interesting to see who we go with for the Utd game. And with James coming back to our midfield, equals danger for any team.

GingerrrFox Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 RL stated today that his english is extremely good his class shone through today second half we were another team EC and Hammond playing behind DD in a more frontal role with two wingers is going to work wonders loving it Swap Hammond with James and you've got yourself a deal.
Stadt Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 I wouldn't bed surprised to see DD, Cambiasso and James playing in a 433 next week - I think Dinkwater is going to have a great game because he'll have a point to prove. The same applies to De Laet and James.
ScouseFox Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Drinkwater slightly more advanced than cambiasso and either of Hammond and James depending on fitness looks the way to go based on that second half. Concerned what this means for nuge though, can't play a full 90 as a winger? Can he? Mahrez one side of ulloa, Schlupp, Knocky, nuge, Vardy, albrighton and Lawrence, maybe even Powell, wood and GTF too all wanting one position?! what the f uck?! How the hell did that happen!
veezeeblue Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Swap Hammond with James and you've got yourself a deal. sure when he´s fit but hammonds playing very well
johnny the fox Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Hammond has the shirt, he should keep the shirt till he don't perform... nige treats every player the same, and they know it..its his credibility... dean has been great so far..

benpicko Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Hammond has the shirt, he should keep the shirt till he don't perform... nige treats every player the same, and they know it..its his credibility... dean has been great so far.. What constitutes as not performing? I thought he was great against Everton and Chelsea but only average against Arsenal and Stoke--nothing really bad, but average--so do we keep playing him if plays consistently averagely despite knowing that we have much better options?
Kitchandro Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 What constitutes as not performing? I thought he was great against Everton and Chelsea but only average against Arsenal and Stoke--nothing really bad, but average--so do we keep playing him if plays consistently averagely despite knowing that we have much better options? Yeh I didn't think much to him today. He wasn't a disaster but he's very slow and didn't really get hold of it in midfield - once we got two better players in there you could see the difference in quality. There's no room for sentiment, we do have much better players and it's time they came in. Without sounding harsh, if he cant see that and kicks off about it that's his problem. Why delay the inevitable anyway, eventually he's going to be warming the bench at best. I don't see the point in waiting for him to have a really shit game before we act.
Leicester Lass Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 The only time he lost the ball was his dummy for Schlupp! Class above. That ball went straight to Schlupp's feet.
LCFCFOX6190 Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Wow. Still oozes with class, you could tell Drinkwater looked up to him. Can see that becoming a very good partnership
ian_marshall Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Wow. Still oozes with class, you could tell Drinkwater looked up to him. Can see that becoming a very good partnership I agree, and it genuinely looks like they get on quite well together and have an understanding of each other which is great so early in their partnership. Their relationship is like that of the sorcerer and the apprentice. You can visibly see Cambiasso advising and talking through different situations and plays with Danny, whilst Danny really seems to be concentrating, listening, and learning from every word. It can only be a good thing for Danny's development.
