Someone else has said that to me this week.

Which is absurd because it's so far from "must win" it's untrue.

No but will be a bigger win against these, then it would a top half team, come the end of the season

I hate the term 'must win'..banded about far too often.

However, this game really is important IMO. Not only for the points but for confidence and reputation. If we get turned over tomorrow by a clearly poor Burnley side its gonna be a choker. Not only will our boys take a hit, but tge rest of the teams in the Prem would cast a glance over as well.

So no, its not 'must win'..but its a should win and there may be a knock-on if we don't. Or at least draw.

It's a must not lose, whilst it'd be disappointing if we drew it wouldn't be a disastrous result in the grand scheme of things:

Ah the good old, face saving, "if you don't put four by us we're going to say you're shit" pre defense.

You've got me wrong. With no attack or midfield we haven't a chance. If you set about us right, it'll be a cricket score.

Talking of pre-defence this thread is full of it. All season you've been calling us shit, the weakest team in the league, whipping boys, blah, blah, blah. Now, all of a sudden, we are plucky, tight, well organised etc etc etc.

With Jukebox and Sordell up front, and the professional victim in the dugout, you are the weakest team in the league - however if you've got one thing going for you on showings so far (well, prior to last weekend), it's a strong defence. We should win fairly comfortably, but if the defence that played the first 5, rather than the defence that faced west brom, shows up, I'd not expect a cricket score.

The defence is only as good as the cover in front of it. The tireless work of Marney is a big part of our defensive record. Without him we look so exposed. Add the Dowd/Vardy combinatination, they could even all be penalties.

Just tell your defenders and keepers not to lunge at him, look back on the penalties on Vardy last season.

I won't see them, but I'm sure they're aware.

I know there is a belief Vardy regularly wins soft penalties, exacerbated by the Man United game, but virtually all others have been genuine fouls.

Knockaert wins more soft penalties and goes to ground easier than Vardy for sure.

Is it a sell out tomorrow

In the home areas yes, don't know how Many there bringing though, at a guess 2000, so attendance will be over 1k down to previous games

2093 sold out of 2400, with the rest on sale tomorrow. So sell out.

how come we didn't give these the full end?

Posted

No chance of selling it.

lol fair enough.

have we resold the block they didn't want? or is it back to the classic championship days of loads of black netting and flags taking up seats?

I fear its got a 1-0 Burnley smash and grab feel about it... :(

I hate when a team with an unenviable record comes here. You know; haven't won away all season, or haven't scored more than one goal in an away match so far and in Burnley's case, only one goal scored so far this season. It'll mean they'll score two tomorrow - just hope we can score at least 3!

Has anyone realised yet with no Ings Vokes or centre mid if we batter these we have 2 weeks of we are the champions shite.

Then if we lose at the toon NP is shite we are going down.

I am sure that roller coaster at Blackpool is a lot smoother ride than following the City.
