On to the next one - Burnley (H)

In fairness, don't these guys have good form at the new ground? I think we've only won 1 game here against them, and only scored in 2 home games against them since 2002 - they used to rock up every season before we went down, and win 1-0.

edit: won 2, drawn 3, lost 4 - scored 7, conceded 6. Not as bad as I thought.

Time to show them who is boss then.

2093 sold out of 2400, with the rest on sale tomorrow. So sell out.

if they do what palace did and defend the 18 yard box, unless we can find quality delivery this could end 0-0.

we had no idea how to open palace up our success against utd came from them trying to attack and defend on the half way line.

would be tempted to play wood and ulloa and try battering the centre halves cuz unless they all of a sudden come to have a go vards will have no space to run into and we still lack in cm in terms of opening teams up.

Are you for fvcking real?

Haha, I get what he means though. If we lose there'll be positively suicidal types coming on wanting to press panic buttons

I guarantee at least one ar5ehole will start a "Was the Man U win the pinnacle under Pearson" thread.

I'm honestly not expecting a big score tomorrow and - like every week so far - will be happy to come away with a scrappy 1-0. 1 more for Leo.

My only other prediction is that Gravel Throat will mention something about comparitive spending between the two clubs in his husky post match soundbite.

To be fair the Man Utd win could be the pinnacle without us being bad. That was a truly legendary game for this club.

At the start of the season I'm betting that Burnley looked at the fixtures list and picked City home and away for games where they had to get the points to stay up. They've had a bad run of injuries which has left them with a weaker side than the one that performed so well last season. Nevertheless I expect them to give it their all. In some ways this could be a defining point in their season - good defence for the first five matches conceding only four goals then a hammering last weekend. If they can turn it around and put it another solid performance and come away with a point I think they'd be delighted. Another hammering and their confidence goes.

So I believe their first intention will be not to lose. As such they're likely to defend deep and hope that we can't break them down. IMO we need an attacking line-up but I'd like to see Cambiasso retained in midfield because he's class and can pick a pass. Plus Vardy and Mahrez because they can cause problems.

I hope that our players attitude are right this afternoon, if they are I believe that we'll get a result. Unfortunately it would be easy for them to take Burnley lightly, and if they do we may not get the result we want.

I think there's been a hint of Stoke from some Leicester fans before this fixture.  For Burnley, on paper this game looks like a good opportunity for points in the same way it does for us.  It is not so long ago that we were nervously looking over our shoulders at them in the Championship.

Bottom line, we have to take this seriously and it probably isn't going to be a cricket score.

Another thing, it is a bit annoying that so much is being made of their injury crisis when our good early season performances were achieved with a similar problem.  We seem to be treated very differently from 'little Burnley' in the media.  I'm not sure whether to be flattered by this or annoyed that Dyche's propaganda and back-covering is being so effective.

I served GTF and Vardy tonight and the former sank four Kopparbergs in no time like a boss

that's about as hardcore as drinking 4 bottles of pop

I have to say its very hard luck on Dyche as what he has done at Burnley with limited resourses is truly amazing.  If they manage to stay up thats going to be some achievement

Ok sean, thanks.
