Cambiasso og.

Oh dear Nige, need to show some clear thinking and leadership. :nigel:

We looked about as dangerous as bubble wrap.

Pearson needs to stop trying to keep players happy and play our best fking 11.

Unlucky - we were comfortable in possession, created 4 really good chances and didn't really give them anything. Greatly improved from last week but still toothless in front of goal.

The match thread is embarrassing, I swear the same muppets only come out of the woodwork when we lose, it's almost as if they want us to lose so they can spout their inane nonsense.

Next week is pretty much a right off and will most likely drop us in the bottom 3, if we play like that against sunderland/qpr then we are ****ed as Decembers fixtures look a nightmare.

Wheres it all gone wrong after such a positive start to the season :(

absoloute joke team keeps getting chopped and changed , cant put hardly any passes together , we need width why is nocky and mahrez not starting , nuudge is not good enough front , getting worried

Laughable. We played okay but something is not right.

Winning 5-3 vs Man United has actually stopped us playing well, playing Burnley has stopped us scoring.

I'm looking at the next few fixtures, and with our current form, when is the next time we will get points? Christ.

I probably wont even bother next week. (But I probably will hehe)

Last week we were away to a top-half team, this week at home to a relegation contender. So you can't really compare the two.

Comfortable in possession - for most of the last 20 minutes the ball was in the sky. Every time it landed I half expected to see Iain Hume running around like a headless chicken.

The blunt truth is, our players aren't good enough for the Premier League. Players who we thought might be capable of making the step up (I'm looking at you Drinkwater, James, De Laet) have quite frankly, been poor, while we are still carrying others who we knew weren't good enough in the first place (Nugent, Konchesky, Schlupp).

6s all round for our players. without a flukey og we'd have had a point. Still not good enough, we need to be winning that kind of game.

Poor performance, but understandable considering how low on confidence the side is. Very unfortunate not to get a point. Sacking Pearson is not the answer. Besides, the man should get a lot more leeway considering what he's achieved with us. It's not a run of 5 games that's going to get him the boot.

Better on the ball today than we have been for the past 3 or 4 games but still, absolutely no quality whatsoever in the final third.  Think we are just going to have to hang on to the coattails of those around us and hope we can actually get some quality in come January.

Dreadful match and dreadful tactics, seems to be a recurring theme.

If Pearson comes out with his fine margins crap again he can shove off.

The premier league is that mental we will probably beat Southampton

Very unlucky goal to concede but luck isn't with us at the moment. We just don't look like scoring anymore either.

That's just it - last season we'd have won that at a canter - not just the quality of the opposition, but the chance we had - in particular the two vardy ones, would have been buried last season. Today though... it looks like the confidence going forward is shot.

Poor all round. Time to go 4-4-2 and stop worrying about hurting people's feelings by cramming in player's that don't work together. Start Riyad, drag Nuge; Ulloa-Vardy up top.

Distribution from the full-backs today was beyond miserable and Drinkwater / James looked ineffective yet again. Ulloa looking bright when he came on was quite literally the only positive I can take from that abject shower.

Sadly I'm starting to agree with this.

Yeah we were unlucky to lose but we lack so much quality going forward. This club expects us to pump hundreds of pounds in each season and that's the shit we're getting. Pearson needs to have a word with 4-5 of our lacklustre players. He needs to decide what formation he wants to play. He keeps changing it and that really doesn't help. I've been patient up to now but this is just getting stupid. Sort it out.

How many chances did we create through our own smart play and not through a set piece?

We all knew it would be hard and I think we all grossly underestimated how big a jump the Premier League is but taking our blue spectacles off and looking at us like a neutral you'd say that we look like generic relegation fodder.

Luck (not quality) will determine whether we stay up or not.
