EGBFitness Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Unfortunate result, never looked like scoring whole game but don't feel we deserved to lose. A lot better performance to previous weeks, agree Was playing rather than Moore, bullied Berinho whole game and kept his high line to stop their attack. Need to be more clinical in final third, keep the ball down and retain possession. Frustrating watching them struggle to make some key passes and hoof the ball into the air so much!
m4DD0gg Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Poor performance, but understandable considering how low on confidence the side is. Very unfortunate not to get a point. Sacking Pearson is not the answer. Besides, the man should get a lot more leeway considering what he's achieved with us. It's not a run of 5 games that's going to get him the boot. Better men have been sacked for less, this is the Thai's investment and if they think its slipping away they are going to react. I love Pearson but the man is so stubborn and i suspect taken this team as far as he can.
ashmanlee Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Unlucky - we were comfortable in possession, created 4 really good chances and didn't really give them anything. Greatly improved from last week but still toothless in front of goal.This... No one taking our chances but they were lucky to have that, a sneaky win next week to restart us I reckon
cuddly ken Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 We looked about as dangerous as bubble wrap. Pearson needs to stop trying to keep players happy and play our best fking 11. I've said all along Pearson was poor tactically, he really need to go, or we are as good as down.
justfoxes Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Unfortunate for Cambiasso but we should have been able to have turned our possession around and caused foster more problems !! We are certainly going to be spending and offloading in January Knockhaert hasn't really had a chance to shine Nugent hasn't really lit up the place since signing his new contract Moore dropped Ulloa should have started over Nugent. !! it's so frustrating when you know we can perform out of our skins and deliver quality performances so what has happened to that spirit fight and tenacity that we gave against Manchester utd?? NIGEL needs to sort this out soon or unfortunately the behind the sofa anti PEARSON brigade might be getting their wish !!
shen Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Dreadful match and dreadful tactics, seems to be a recurring theme. If Pearson comes out with his fine margins crap again he can shove off. It's been 5 games!!!! We had 5 excellent games and a fantastic season before that. The fine margins weren't with us today. Can you hand on heart say that WBA deserved all three points? I certainly can't..
The Guvnor Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 This at times was like watching poor Sunday league hoofers, get the ball down on the floor pass and move if you've forgotten how to play football come and watch my son's team tomorrow!!
Guest Bilo Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 This... No one taking our chances but they were lucky to have that, a sneaky win next week to restart us I reckon At Southampton?! Not a chance.
The Doctor Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 This... No one taking our chances but they were lucky to have that, a sneaky win next week to restart us I reckon The question is why aren't we taking our chances. Thinking particularly the 2nd Vardy one - last season that'd have flown into the far corner. Today though it just trickled into Fosters arms. We looked like we could cut it today, but we looked so inept when we got the chances.
bovril Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 At Southampton?! Not a chance. The way football is who knows. We were clueless going forward today but I really hope he doesn't tinker with it too much.
brockmyster Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 We are dreadful from all forms of set pieces. Why oh why are we doing these 'long' throws that dont even go that deep into the box and just lose possession, and on the subject of losing possession ,what was Cambiasso's obsession today with that shitty ball over that didnt come off once, every ****ing time he lost the ball.
AyewJoking Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 On the plus side........... Posted 28 October 2014 - 03:29 PM I think our players will try this time but West Brom are simply too much for us. 1-0 to West Brom.
lgfualol Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 It's been 5 games!!!! We had 5 excellent games and a fantastic season before that. The fine margins weren't with us today. Can you hand on heart say that WBA deserved all three points? I certainly can't.. Sounds exactly like something Pearson would say heh
Mark Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 It's been 5 games!!!! We had 5 excellent games and a fantastic season before that. The fine margins weren't with us today. Can you hand on heart say that WBA deserved all three points? I certainly can't..I heard numerous people coming out the ground saying we didn't deserve that, but did we even come close to scoring today? At least those wishing for that wood/ulloa partnership got their wish
Larry_LCFC Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Embarrassing by a bunch of underperforming clueless baboons. How can we go from United to this. Absolute shambles.
Sunbury Fox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Losing at home to a side likely to be bottom 6 is really bad news. Very odd selection in midfield today. Again I think it was about nullifying them rather than being positive.
Benji Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 The blunt truth is, our players aren't good enough for the Premier League. Players who we thought might be capable of making the step up (I'm looking at you Drinkwater, James, De Laet) have quite frankly, been poor, while we are still carrying others who we knew weren't good enough in the first place (Nugent, Konchesky, Schlupp). Difficult to make this conclusion when we're cramming players into formations for the sake of it. I mean the number of centre midfielders today, come on, Nige!
Fox42 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 DOWN WITH THE VILLA, WE'RE GOING DOWN WITH THE VILLA
hesapeepingtom Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 looks like we haven't strengthened any where near enough! whose fault is that, the owners or pearson? we ll see,by how long he remains here.still cant see us getting walloped by anyone.its getting harder for any promoted teams to stay up though!
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Drinkwater poor. Konchesky poor. Nugent... Nugent.
shen Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I heard numerous people coming out the ground saying we didn't deserve that, but did we even come close to scoring today? At least those wishing for that wood/ulloa partnership got their wish We did, twice. King with a free header and Vardy with his shot straight into Foster's hands. Not good enough, I think we will all agree, but what did WBA have? A huge slice of fortune... Sounds exactly like something Pearson would say heh Well, I'd obviously agree with him then. We didn't threaten enough, but neither did they. Calling it as it is.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 this place Terrible game, lucky winner for them, denied a good pen shout, draw would of been fair. Worrying thing for us is are forwards haven't played well since September (all of them....... not just Nugent)
