Corky Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Can't defend and that's the problem. Give away the goals we do and we're going to have to be special to win, which we aren't. The effort is there but the quality is lacking and the defence is all over the place. Schmeichel played very well, Nugent did well in the second half, James, Schlupp were really poor, Mahrez inconsistent, Cambiasso needs to dictate the game with more support around him.

It says it all when you're finishing with Wood and Nugent as your striking partnership. Moore lost his man and then Wasyl has too foul agbonlahor on the run. We've definately played worse, but it isn't hood enough.

Sacking Pearson won't resolve anything. It's not his fault absolutely NONE of the players that came up have made the leap in quality. Not ONE.
Tuna Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Look, our next three matches are Man City, West Ham and Spurs. Lets not kid ourselves - we'll lose all three. That's 6 defeats in a row, bottom at christmas and almost certainly 5 - 7 points away from safety. Its game over. We can't take our chances, we can't defend, we can't take set pieces, we haven't got enough quality and we now seem to be losing our discipline. I defy anyone to take any positives out of that game. We're down, and It is a crying shame that after 10 hard years of fighting to get back here, we've blown our chance. Lets hope its not another 10 years before we get back again.

The Konchesky incident made matter worse. Laughable to dish out a red for that. But our marking and our composure were atrocious. Moore leaving Clarke too much space, Schlupp not bothered to take care of Alan ****ing Hutton! Shambolic. Must do 200% better than this to stand a chance remaining in this division. At the moment, it's looking bleak.
