I'm not suggesting we aren't dire at the moment, we are, but this is the man who took us up as champions just a few months ago. He is light weight and constantly gives the ball away. The one or two good moments he has in a match is just not enough. Schlupp is equally as wasteful in possession. Agreed. Mahrez is all smoke and mirrors. Talented but no end product and he doesn't have the stomach for the fight either.

It's hard to say, I guess he's playing against a lot better players this season, and he may have lost his composure. I hope he can settle down and start playing some quality football. On a side note a though Kasper played well, he made some cracking saves, so hopefully his confidence is up.

Plus a creative 2nd striker to play instead of Nugent in that deeper role. He did alright today but the glaring obvious remains that he isn't good enough for this league.

kingfox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 We are a team with no ideas whatsoever, if Pearson's game plan is to play hoof ball then on that alone he deserves to be sacked. Where has our passing game gone? Last season we were a passing team, good fast link up play, a team capable of spreading the ball all over the field, but now we seem scared to bring it down and play. Our midfield today was diabolical, big fan of Matty James but today he had an absolute shocker, not only his set piece delivery, but his lack of urgency to pick up second balls was shocking, plus he got constantly overran in midfield. We saw very little of Cambiasso & his passing range, while our wingers were awful, Schlupp does get harshly criticised in my opinion but today he deserves everything he gets, simply not good enough. Mahrez was crap as well, seriously overrated, his first touch at times was an embarrassment. Also Liam Moore may have started the season well, but it wouldn't surprise me if we loan him out in January, seriously poor today. We need fresh ideas because whatever Pearson is trying to do is not working, he has done wonders for this club, but we can't afford to keep going through the same shit every week. We can blame the ref all we like as well, and it was a shocking decision, but that aside our performance yet again was seriously poor, we lack quality all the way from defence to attack.
