Thrill Bert Fox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Because he is arrogant and lacks class Need a new manager please A decent one Totally agree he is way out of his depth - here's a challenge for all the Pearson fans name me a signing where we have then sold them on for big money.
Mark_w Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 No way is the the best long term option - I am sick of watching poor tactics and decision on team selection - I have been watch them for 30 years plus and his time in charge has been the least enjoyable EVER I honestly don't think I need to explain my reasoning for thinking you've got a Brain Slug, sorry if people really need an explanation.
Steve Earle Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I really had believed until today. And now I don't. Championship defences and championship attacks just don't cut it at this level. I'm pro-Pearson, but that's only because (a) last season was outstanding on every level (b) this is his team and © I can't see anyone else doing much better with what we have. The mistakes were made in the summer, in signing half a dozen numpties and not signing three or four more players proven at premiership level. Who's mistakes those were, we may never know.
Mark_w Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Totally agree he is way out of his depth - here's a challenge for all the Pearson fans name me a signing where we have then sold them on for big money. We haven't sold any of our good players because we've been really successful so we haven't had to. I'm sure we could make a tidy profit on £400,000 for Riyad Mahrez if we wanted to start selling players.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 His total term which includes two titles, two play-offs, two cup runs to quarter-finals and in four full seasons a combined goal difference of +124. If that's the worst in 30 years I wonder what the Taylor/ Bassett season and 2003-2008 were like. Joyous? Don't you remember all the titles we won between 2003 and 2008!
justfoxes Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 What an utter embarrassment Marcin Waselewski was! No need for the free kick they scored from in the first half, the player had his back to goal and was a long way out going nowhere. For the second I have no idea what he was doing down towards the corner flag. The bloke has no pace, why is he even thinking he can get back and stop their counter? He is suppose to be our experienced head at the back and there he is down in the corner flag in the same pocket as Simpson leaving our whole defence exposed. His constant cynical fouling is becoming a problem, how many times did we give Gerrard a free kick on the edge of the area on Tuesday? Same again today. We need a whole new back 4! I do in some parts agree with you trouble is he has a superb head for the defending as he does make some superb tackles but then suddenly he gets the red mist and goes psychopathic andakes appalling tackles the man is a liability more times than not and o actually find myself cringing at times when he goes in for some tackles especially the tackle last week against Liverpool cant remember who but the choke hold he did on that pool player it wouldn't have looked out of place at the WWE wrestling ring !!
skmanuk Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Pretty desperate blaming the referee, he had a decent game. The fundamental problem is revealed by the stats, We get the ball, We kick it as far up the field as possible... We lose the ball... They attack and we breathe a sigh of relief when the attack breaks down.... We get the ball, We kick it as far up the field as possible... Etc Etc Completed passes 3:1 better than us. This is the managers fault!!!
MC Prussian Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Can't get worst than that At this rate, we're looking at beating Derby's record for fewest points in one Premier League season.
pSinatra Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I still don't believe the squad is as bad as a lot of people are suggesting. There are some 'good enough' players suffering from the same condition as the not so good players. Cambiasso & Mahrez are decent but the rest are pony? I don't think so. It seemed to start in injury time against Burnley & ever since we have lacked any composure, lacked ideas & panic has set in. It is purely down to lack of confidence. I still think Pearson & his staff can turn it around, but it's getting harder by the week. Burnley genuinely have a shit squad & they have turned it around (recently). It seems the equaliser against us was the turning point for them. It gave them confidence & they've built on it. Newcastle were just awful until they beat us & look where they are now? I'm just praying that there's a team out there who are willing to play like turd, let us beat them & give us some confidence
maynefox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I couldn't watch the game today, so I can't comment on the match specifically. when is the next win going to come? (for me not for a long time, the way we have been playing). To get only 2 points from 30 is shocking. The Momentum train has derailed long ago and the players are now showing their true colours. Feel for Pearson, he trusted his players that got us promoted and they ain't paying him back. You might say he should have signed better in the Summer. But he decided to give the players a chance at the Prem; afterall they earnt it. If he is still in charge of January he has to sign much much better players. That's if he does, his arrogance suggests not. Even if he does, we'll be adrift in January. Something needs to change. I honestly can't see us winning another game in 2014.

If that's the worst in 30 years I wonder what the Taylor/ Bassett season and 2003-2008 were like. Joyous? Thanks for the stats. I am talking about the enjoyment I get from watching them and this has been the worst ever for me. I am sure you will all be over the moon at the excellent performance so I will leave you all now and watch celeb come dancing as that show has passion. Hehe keep the stats coming
MC Prussian Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Totally agree he is way out of his depth - here's a challenge for all the Pearson fans name me a signing where we have then sold them on for big money. When's the last time we sold ANYONE for big money?Laughable criteria for you to emphasize your dislike for the manager.
The Doctor Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 At this rate, we're looking at beating Derby's record for fewest points in one Premier League season. We really aren't - even if we keep the form of the last 7 games (D1L6), we'll still finish with 2 more points than they did.
Callabinho Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 The game was screaming for someone to be sat in behind Ulloa/Nugent, Nick Powell surely would have been worth a go?
Corky Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Thanks for the stats. I am talking about the enjoyment I get from watching them and this has been the worst ever for me. I am sure you will all be over the moon at the excellent performance so I will leave you all now and watch celeb come dancing as that show has passion. Hehe keep the stats coming Right, ok. Over the five years he's been in charge (as you said, not these last 10 games) why has it been the worst? What was it about the absolute dross at the bottom of the Championship that was so much better? Forgive us for not understanding what you are going on about.
Russell sprout Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Last season if we conceded 2 I felt we could still go and won the game, now if we concede 2 it's game over,we have no depth defensively or attacking,I feel pearson knows this now but his hands are tied until January,I think if we stand by him he will get it right,he will improve those above position imo, there is at least some effort in these defeats,we're not playing terrible, just need a break.
st albans fox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 At this rate, we're looking at beating Derby's record for fewest points in one Premier League season. Just as a monkey and a typewriter will eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare, we will find another 2 points this campaign!
ScouseFox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 when is the next win going to come? my guess is mid september at home to huddersfield. just a guess though.
justfoxes Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 TOP & CO unfortunately need to dog really deep in their pockets to save us from going down the Championship plug hole after our first season back !! But I still think we will finish no lower than 16th for some strange deranged moment I feel we will be ok and then build on to our next premiership season with or without NP but I don't think Pullis is our answer let's give NP till the new year then reconsider his position as manager but also who knows our so called director of football needs to be looked at too is he stopping PEARSON bringing in who he is really after ? FOOTBALL ITS A FUNNY OLD GAME !!
bovril Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 my guess is mid september at home to huddersfield. just a guess though.
Mad Dog Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 No way is the the best long term option - I am sick of watching poor tactics and decision on team selection - I have been watch them for 30 years plus and his time in charge has been the least enjoyable EVER Hahahaha. Yeah, I had much more fun with Craig Levein, Rob Kelly, Gary Megson, Martin Allen, Ian Holloway, Peter Taylor, Dave Bassett, Micky Adams and Paulo Sousa in charge.
ealingfox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I talking about his total term in charge not just a one off seasonSo Levein, Kelly, Allen, Holloway, Taylor, Sousa, Sven and however many more from 2001-2011 were MORE enjoyable than Pearson's two divisional title seasons and two top 6 Champ finishes and one of the greatest games in our history this season?Either you've had a 'mare using that as a point or you're a fvcking moron mate.
VLC86 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I thought he looked decent aside from his obvious error. I like how he's always trying to keep the ball rather than just smash it up the field as far as possible. Mate is this sarcastic? Genuine question.
sdb Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Ball retention is a big issue. We rush on the ball all the time and invite loads of pressure on.
Karljohn Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Lets face it, right the way upto Hull now he's pretty much safe if he sees out this week. Man City, in form West Ham..then it'll be January and the window. He'll sign Marlon Harewood, Nicky Maynard and Jason Bent and the goals will fly in.
