RowlattsFox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Obviously January is going to be massive regardless of whether Pearson is in charge or not. How far adrift are we going to be? Let's take a look at the fixtures of those around us. Us: Man city (h), West Ham (a), Spurs (h) Hull (a), Liverpool (a) Burnley: Soton (h), Spurs (a), Liverpool (h) Man city (a), Newcastle (a) Hull: Chelsea (a), Swansea (h), Sunderland (a) Leicester (h), Everton (h) QPR: Everton (a), west brom (h), arsenal (a), palace (h), Swansea (h) Palace: Stoke (h), man city (a), soton (h), qpr (a), villa (a) West brom: Villa (h), qpr (a), man city (h), Stoke (a), West Ham (a) Even at my most optimistic I can see us getting no more than 2 points.
whoareyaaa Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I think we will get 7 points from this lot somehow.
Carl the Llama Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Fortunately I can't see the others pulling far enough away for us to be a lost cause in January.
LCFC Rennie Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I think we will get 7 points from this lot somehow. You really are on Cloud 9.
Raj Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I think we will get 7 points from this lot somehow. ...spurs and hull our only chance of points...2 at best!
ScouseFox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 qpr could be a long, long way clear of us and burnley come then. they could easily win their 3 home games whilst i can't see burnley or us getting a win between us.
Fox92 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Need to beat Hull because I can't see us picking up anything from the other games.
kristianity77 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 3 points for us out of that lot I think. And I reckon we will be 6 or 7 points from safety come the start of Jan.
AKCJ Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I look at all of those fixtures, not just our own, and wince. It's a ****ing tough league.
Guest ttfn Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 The key for us is getting into that home stretch of fixtures with a fighting chance. We've got an absolutely fantastic run-in for our last 8 fixtures, 5 of which are at home. If we can get to 25 points by then, I think we've got a chance. But to do that we'd need 15 points from the next 15 games, including games against Man City (twice), Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Spurs (twice), Arsenal and Everton.

Dan Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Write-off. We'll get a point against Spurs and lose the others.
Phube Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I'm hoping for some serious reverse psychology here. Our first 5 games were a shocker. We got 5 points. Next 8/10 games were 'winnable' We get 5 points. Fingers crossed.

Phube Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Hate to break this to you but we got 8 points from the first 5... Proves my point even more!
ealingfox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 With West Ham's big man up top, crosses and set pieces style of football i could genuinely see us losing by 5 or 6 goals there.
Harry - LCFC Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 If we just hold our position until January I'd be quite satisfied with that.
Cropwellfox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Little doubt after today and the next two fixtures that we will be bottom of the table at Xmas and odds against staying up be come extremely slim. Real shame but we will go into January pretty much nailed on to go down
Webbo Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 If we just hold our position until January I'd be quite satisfied with that. Bottom?
Tuna Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 WOuld be nice if we played a team who had a mare against us. Own goals, sending offs etc etc.
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 If we just hold our position until January I'd be quite satisfied with that. What bottom?
