Sure we may have a sniff at safety but ultimately the odds are stacked against us. 75% of you are dreaming...which is lovely but sometime soon you'll have to wake up. I am with you on this lets have 100% think we will go down. Sure that would help the squad if they see it. We should all be emailing the club asking how much tickets will be in the championship next season to. For a so called supporter you seem more against us. It may not be likely as far as stats go but if we do not believe who will. I take it you did not coin the frase Foxes Never Quit. Try asking a few on here what it means as you seem to be struggling with it.

Guest ttfn Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 We've scored a whopping 3 goals against sides who finished 8th-17th last season. In 10 games. For me, this is what really makes the next 3 home games "make or break". Have we really turned a corner or are we going to fall back into the same lack of creativity now Mahrez has gone? I know it probably goes without saying but our record against the top sides (at least based on the last full season) is actually pretty good. It's everyone else we're shit against. Vs last year's top 7: P8 W1 D3 L4 F12 A16 Pts 7 (0.9 ppg) Vs the other 12: P12 W2 D2 L8 F7 A16 Pts 8 (0.7 ppg) Part of this may be explained by the fact that we've only played 3 sides who didn't finish in the top 7 last season so far at the King Power (Burnley, West Brom, Sunderland), which is why the next 3 home games are so important. Compare that with QPR who have played every single side who finished in the bottom half last season at home, plus us and Burnley. That said QPR beat Burnley, West Brom and Sunderlamd and we mustered only 2 points, so maybe we're just doggo.
Thracian Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Hope springs eternal and I'd love to be proved wrong but I think we'll be relegated. Various reasons all outlined at one time or another. I don't think a change of manager would help at this stage and in these circumstances. But I've never been his biggest fan for all that I can see he's got some good qualities. We had a poor close season and have underperformed in many ways since the United victory. Now we're going through the "experienced foreign legion" process as a last throw of this season's dice.It'll not work. Southampton - and Swansea style wise - have shown different blueprints for small club evolution but we've never been able to "finish" developing our young talent and I'm not surprised with so many other technical failings so clearly on view from week to week.

Jamiebux Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Would like to think its possible we can avoid the drop but we need strengthening in all areas to help us cut out mistakes and give us a bit more going forward. I will click one of the two come the end of the January window when we know who we have in the squad . Need to keep the current run going but we've lost a few to injuries and ACN so just hope we can keep it going. Can't afford to fall further behind before we can add to the squad .

Claridge Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I still think we'll go down, unfortunately. Half the season gone and we've got 3 wins and 14 points. Our lack of experience could also cost us in a relegation dogfight - if you've been there before it makes it easier. Recent results have somewhat clouded how crap we've been for much of this season. Having said that, you never know. We have a good team spirit and a couple of genuine match winners. If we beat Villa on Saturday and other results go away I might start believing again. Not sure thats true. A lot of teams that are near the bottom and survive go down in the next 2 seasons

They see a small team punching well above its weight in the Premier League and see a Roy of the Rovers story. Burnley remind me very much of Blackpool under Holloway a few years back, they'll push it right to the wire but will ultimately fall short. I think the likeliest scenario is a bottom five comprised of ourselves, Aston Villa, Burnley, Hull and QPR. Quite probably in that order from 16th-20th given our respective run-ins.

But as ADK pointed out it's a flawed poll. If you had to pick one team definitely to go down you wouldn't pick Burnley. People kept saying they'd fall away last season too and they didn't. Kudos to them.

Can't pick up points away and have trickier home fixtures to come second half of the season. They have 2 or 3 quality players but not enough depth to survive and I can't see Austin's golden run lasting forever. Gun to head, I'm going QPR 20th, Burnley 19th and Hull 18th. Us scraping out of it at around 16th.
