EGBFitness Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 If Chelsea had signed him I bet there would not have been a permit problem Probably not, does seem like bigger clubs can run their own rules at times. But I'm sure they've done it with players before, they would of either loaned him back or sent him to a European club with less stricter rules to help with permits at a future date.
Ric Flair Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 He won't meet the criteria so on appeal we need to show: "What happens if a player has not been granted a work permit? If a football player does not fulfil the above criteria and has his application for a work permit turned down there is the possibility for a club to appeal the decision. This appeal will be heard by an independent panel and it will be the job of the panel to assess the following things: To consider whether the player is of the highest calibre To consider whether the player is able to contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in the UK It is often the case that when clubs sign young players who have not had the opportunity to play for their national side due to their age the work permit will be granted due to the ability and potential shown by that player in their fledgling career. " Shouldn't be an issue then really. The fact he's played in Croatia's last few games, ripped the arsehole out of their league, played at every national level and is a young player whose been courted by some of the best teams in Europe. Approve it already.
Ric Flair Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Well there we fcukin go. We wouldn't go publishing that if we weren't 100% sure he'd get the nod.
talking_goldfish Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Hopefully, in the appeal we'll argue that Krama is an exciting young talent who can only flourish in the great Premier League. I think that in years to come he will be one of the poster boys of the PL, and will draw even more of the foreign market into our beautiful game. He is quite clearly going to be a major force in the Croatia squad in the coming years.Scrap that. Maybe Nige should just show a couple of Krama's YouTube videos on loop. How could they possibly deny that?
JJS84 Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 if the official website is posting that story then the club must be relatively confident that nothing is going to stop it now. just a case of time. it would be interesting to know if that picture is from this morning and he has been training with the squad.
shade Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 hang on, Bert said he had signed, LCFC.com is saying will sign, what's going on?!
Fox 4 Life Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I assume you can't legally sign a contract until you have the right to work in the country
lgfualol Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Aston Villa is going to be boring with our exciting players either in Africa or on the treatment table. Kramaric vs Stoke will be nice
Bert Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Well there we fcukin go. We wouldn't go publishing that if we weren't 100% sure he'd get the nod.Spot on.
Happy Fox Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/association=cro/news/newsid=2197691.html Only Real Madrid CF's Cristiano Ronaldo could claim to have comprehensively outscored HNK Rijeka's Andrej Kramarić in 2014/15, with big things expected of the striker next year. Hard-luck story Allowed to leave GNK Dinamo Zagreb for Adriatic side Rijeka in 2013, Kramarić scored eight times in a single Croatian Cup game that October and the goals flowed steadily during the spring of 2014 – eight in 14 First League matches and two more in the cup, though he failed to register as Rijeka beat Dinamo in the two-legged final. After turning 23 in June, Kramarić began a startling autumn offensive, netting 21 times in 17 Croatian top-flight games, five in the UEFA Europa League group stage and two in his first four internationals. He was duly named the Croatian league's player of the year in December. Unbelievably prolific in the Dinamo Zagreb youth ranks and a fixture for Croatia at under-age levels, Kramarić looked to have signalled his arrival in senior football when he notched 20 goals in 45 matches while on loan to capital outfit NK Lokomotiva Zagreb in 2011/12 and 2012/13. Yet, still struggling to get a regular starting place at his parent club, he was allowed to leave for Rijeka in August 2013 as Dinamo unwittingly let a prize asset go.International recognition Croatia coach Niko Kovač was quick on the uptake after Kramarić hit ten goals in his first seven 2014/15 league games, giving him his debut in a 4 September friendly against Cyprus. He produced an assist in a 2-0 win and earned praised in the national press. The newcomer promptly plundered a goal apiece in his first two competitive internationals – the EURO Qualifiers against Malta and Azerbaijan. "You could see he was a real goalscorer," said Kovač, who proceeded to compare Kramarić to national hero Davor Šuker. Feyenoord frenzyGiven the standard of the national-team opponents he had scored against, Kramarić was not instantly acclaimed across Europe, but a hat-trick in a 3-1 UEFA Europa League success over Feyenoord had scouts from the big leagues booking tickets to the Dalmatian coast. "I took the match ball and got it signed by all my team-mates," he told UEFA.com. "I also took my jersey and will keep it with the shirt from my Croatia debut. I got so many text messages from people congratulating me, it would have taken a whole day to reply." The manhunt beginsKramarić showcased his mastery of stealth and timing with five goals in a 6-0 league win against Lokomotiva in November, by which time headlines were linking him with moves to Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Tottenham Hotspur FC and even Chelsea FC. "I am in fantastic form, scoring in almost every game, but there will be bad times – periods when I won't score so many," he said. Given the flood that had preceded it, his failure to register in his last three league outings of 2014 resembled a drought. Next stepsWith Rijeka out of the UEFA Europa League, Kramarić is being touted as one of the most in-demand players of the upcoming transfer window. The stuff of dreams for a forward, yet no great surprise to Kramarić. "This is not a dream scenario because I always believed in myself," he said. "I always thought I could reach the form I am in at the moment. I am really delighted, but this is not the pinnacle for me – I want to do more. I am working hard and believe I can be even better."

Len Finsbury Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I have the same problem with my Grandad. Calls Schlupp 'Shloop' and Konchesky 'Kanchelskis! I think everyone over 60 calls Ulloa (You-Low-Ah) As well as chanting for Paul konchelski I had to put up with the Father-in-law cheering on Lloyd Dwyer for years!
Happy Fox Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 couted: The 28 in 30 strike sensation set to move to England in January 29 December 2014 Aleksandar Holiga TOPICS TALENTSPOTTER, CROATIA,RIJEKA, CHELSEA, TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR, BORUSSIA DORTMUND, ATLÉTICO MADRID,LEICESTER CITY, ANDREJ KRAMARIĆ comments Croatian football expert Alex Holiga tells you everything you need to know about Leicester-bound Rijeka hotshot Andrej Kramaric... The 60-second story FACT FILE Date of birth: June 19, 1991 Place of birth: Zagreb, Croatia Height: 5ft 11in Position: Striker Club: Rijeka; 65 apps, 55 goals Country: Croatia; 4 apps, 2 goals Andrej Kramaric was Croatian football’s golden boy and seemed destined for big things before mistreatment at his boyhood club, Dinamo Zagreb, almost broke his spirit. But he only came back stronger, eventually making the national team and attracting interest of clubs across Europe. Now 23, he’s ready to take the leap forward and fulfil his true potential. The striker represented Croatia at every youth level and made his debut for Dinamo's senior team in 2009, one month shy of his 18th birthday. But Dinamo were somewhat impatient with the youngster - the club's coaches tended to favour more experienced players - so Kramaric became impatient, too. After excelling on loan at Dinamo’s 'farm club', Lokomotiva, he found himself third in the pecking order for the striker position at the start of the 2013/14 season. He complained to the press about a lack of playing time and was immediately transfer listed. On the last day of window, the ambitious Rijeka grabbed him and he hasn’t looked back since. He has just kept improving under the tutelage of Rijeka’s respected Slovenian coach, Matjaz Kek. While he was, frankly, still not good enough to make the 23-man Croatia World Cup squad this summer, now he’s a valuable member of the national team: since September he's made four appearances and scored in two. He’s showing huge promise and fans in Croatia have extremely high hopes for him - a finisher of his calibre hasn’t been seen in the domestic league since Eduardo's last year at Dinamo before joining Arsenal. Kramaric has scored seven goals in this season's Europa League, including strikes against Feyenoord, Standard Liege and Sevilla Why you need to know him Kramaric can score. A lot. His goal return this season amounts to 28 in 30 appearances for Rijeka, including a hat trick in a 3-1 Europa League win over Feyenoord and a five-goal bonanza against his former club, Lokomotiva. Last season’s tally was 30 in 41 games, among them a Croatian Cup match that Rijeka won 11-0, with Kramaric stuffing the lower league BSK Zmaj’s net no fewer than eight times. Strengths He’s both fast and technical, blessed with an excellent first touch and has a wide repertoire of shots. Despite being a lethal finisher with great anticipation and composure in front of the goal, Kramaric is not your typical No. 9. He doesn’t wait for the ball to come to him, but instead likes to drop back or pull wide to get it himself. Many of his goals came in games in which he played off or behind the centre-forward, moving channels and roaming between the lines. He has said himself that the style he wants to emulate would be “something between Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski”. Kramaric is also quite a nice guy to add to the package: well-behaved, professional and determined to succeed. Weaknesses Not very strong, Kramaric can get outmuscled by defenders who mark him closely, so he tends to avoid physical contact and looks to sneak around opponents and into the box. He's not a huge threat in the air, either, and he could certainly improve a lot in his defensive play. They said… Croatia manager Niko Kovac: “Kramaric is a genuine goal getter, he reminds me of Davor Suker. And those dummies? You don’t see something like that very often - he doesn’t just beat opponents with his dribbles, he throws the whole stand off balance.” Kramaric has now made the step up to the Croatian senior side Did you know...? Kramaric scored at an insane rate in Dinamo Zagreb's youth ranks. He came to the club aged six and bagged over 450 goals over the years - and yet he was still not deemed good enough after graduating from their academy. TALENTSPOTTER RATINGS Shooting 8 Heading 4 Tackling 3 Pace 7 Dribbling 9 Creativity 6 Work-rate 7 Positioning 7 What happens next Several Italian clubs, as well as Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund, are thought to be interested, but the only official bid so far was from Leicester City. The Foxes reportedly offered Rijeka £7.9 million for Kramaric’s services, but the player was unenthusiastic about playing for a team facing an uphill battle against relegation. But, with Chelsea unwilling to match the Foxes' offer and Kramaric keen on the idea of first-team football in English football's top flight, the young Croatian has plumped for a switch to help Nigel Pearson's strugglers. tripe Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Fvcking tovar... Said a couple of "nice" things about Kramaric on your Radio a couple of days ago....
Guest Papasmurf Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Didn't arsenal do it with joel campbell and ended up having to loan him out. Carlos Vela too for the first year or so I think?
Babylon Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Pearson: "Speaks volumes of the lad that he's willing to come to us in the situation we're in, very impressed with him as a person" "We've got a strong case with regards the work permit with his form nationally and internationally, as well as playing at every level for Croatia. As well as him being linked / tracked by some big teams nationally and around Europe" "It's fair to say he has a very bright future"
LCCFox96 Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Boom. Lets hope there are no issues with the work permit and he's trained with the team and is match fit for Stoke! Schwarzer and Kramaric down. Onto the next transfer target.
80footgiraffe Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Does his contract involve a release clause for relegation?
Ri1987 Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I assume you can't legally sign a contract until you have the right to work in the country You can, in this case, contract is signed but it will not be valid until Kramaric gets his work permit .
Ri1987 Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Boom. Lets hope there are no issues with the work permit and he's trained with the team and is match fit for Stoke! Schwarzer and Kramaric down. Onto the next transfer target. Some defender I hope, your defence is terrible.
