Babylon Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 If 4-4-2 GK: Not fussed, either of them can play. RB: Simpson CB: Was CB: Wes LB: RDL or Konch. Both has pluses and minuses with their selection but I'd be tempted to go with RDL purely on the basis of Konch giving the ball away constantly. RW: Albrighton (Wouldn't rush Mahrez straight back in and Albrighton has done enough for a start) CM: James CM: Hammond LW: Schlupp ST: Nugent He links up the play between midfield and attack which we miss when he doesn't play, he also tracks back and helps out midfield more. ST: Ulloa Gets the nod purely on the basis of being top scorer. Not seen enough of Kram to know if he's ready to start yet. Bench: DD, Cambiasso, Moore, Mahrez, Kram, Vardy. If 4-3-3 / 4-5-1: GK: Not fussed, either of them can play. RB: Simpson CB: Was CB: Wes LB: RDL RW: Mahrez (would give him the nod with only one upfront due to his extra pace despite only just coming back) CM: James CM: Hammond CM: Cambiasso LW: Schlupp ST: Stuck on this one... all have pluses and minuses. Ulloa has the goals but not the chasing or pace. Kram I just haven't seen enough of to know just yet.
cc_star Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 ST: Stuck on this one... all have pluses and minuses. Ulloa has the goals but not the chasing or pace. Kram I just haven't seen enough of to know just yet. Nuge then Knowing Pearson, it will be Vardy
Babylon Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Nuge then I could just imagine the reaction on here to that!!!
cc_star Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 I could just imagine the reaction on here to that!!! Baffling, has no one seen the team's performance as a whole with him on the pitch Vs with him off it Not seen enough of Kram to know whether he could fulfil the role or not Either way I'd still favour Nuge running himself into the ground for 60mins and Kram coming on fresh once the defenders have put a few miles in

ScouseFox Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 hamer simpson was wes konch/rdl - who gives a shit riyad hammond james schlupp krama ulloa subs - all the other ones no idea if kram should play behind ulloa, ulloa play behind him, them both play up front etc cos i've never seen the former play. i imagine we will get vardy on the wing, cambiasso in the middle with james and nugent somewhere. and schwarzer in goal.
The Railway Man Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Hamer Simpson Was Wes RDL Hammond James Albrighton Nugent Mahrez Ulloa
Fox Ulike Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 GK: fvck knows… It’s not good for the team to keep chopping and changing keepers. I was completely surprised when Hamer got dropped. I imagine Ben was too. I felt he was an improvement on Schmiecal and deserved to keep his place even when Kasper was fit. Ben probably feels like third choice keeper now and I can’t imagine he’s feeling very motivated at present. I don’t agree that Schwatzer was at fault for United’s second goal, but cannot see the logic in dropping an in-form young keeper who was beginning to establish himself at this level, for a 42 yo who is at the end of his career. So in conclusion, fvck knows. Now I need to think about a right-back…

Next game was the FA cup which Schwarzer played well. It didnt surprise me that Schwarzer kept his place against Man Utd. I can see why Pearson dropped Hamer but agree that it was a bit harsh. Before the Stoke game Hamer was looking pretty good. I wouldnt begrudge seeing either keeper in goal, but if i had to choose one i would go with experience.
Ollie93 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Hamer Simpson Was Wes RDL Hammond James Albrighton Nugent Mahrez Ulloa I like the idea of a 4-2-3-1, more protection for the back 4, and stops us getting over run in midfield, makes sense really.
Unabomber Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Man i'm gonna be nervous before this, gonna have to have a few lager shandies before the game I reckon.

If we dropped a player every time he had a bad game we'd have run out of players this season! Experience is OK. Riccardo had experience. Schwarzer has only played five league games in 18 months... Seems a big risk to me.
Merging Cultures Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Man i'm gonna be nervous before this, gonna have to have a few lager shandies before the game I reckon. With you on that. The Man u game meant nothing. This one is the real test.
RedSoxUK Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Our game, our court - let's give Pardew the pre-run in jitters with our 4 - 4 - ****ing 2 Hamer Simpson Wasilewski Morgan Schlupp Albrighton Cambiasso James Mahrez Kramaric Ulloa 2 - 1 to the city, late winner by Albrighton or some shit.
Crinklyfox Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 We have to get the midfield right for this one. We have Ulloa who has one of the better non-penalty conversion rates in the PL at over 20% (better than Rooney, Austin and Ings to name but three). The problem is we haven't been creating the opportunities for him. We also have Kramaric who is a proven goal scorer who hasn't had sufficient opportunity to show his finishing ability yet.
Pasty1 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 From Crystal Palace forum: 'This fixture could be the hardest Palace could face at present. When a team is down they have lots of poor luck in not just the bounce of the ball, but ref's decision. But Leicester are still playing confidently and will try to out-play the Palace. Playing a new left back, fresh from the free and easy atmosphere of a football fest, well that could be a mistake. Allowing the Foxes to attack and hitting them on the break may more be the answer. The line-up v Everton may still be the one to play.' Think Hamer should be in goal..... 2-1 City...
Unabomber Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 After much analysing, our team should imo be: Schwarzer Simpson Was Wes Paul Konchesky James Cambiasso Albrighton Nugent Schlupp Kramaric Subs: Hamer, De Laet, Hammond, Drinkwater, Ulloa, Mahrez, Vardy
Fox92 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 It can't be one up front. Ulloa cannot be isolated no longer.
Unabomber Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 It can't be one up front. Ulloa cannot be isolated no longer. u ok there pal Like I said I did a lot of ground work and came to the conclusion that that is the best team for this game.
